Brooke
visited Wake Forest last month and fell in love with the campus.
"It looks like one of those rich, gated neighborhoods", she
said. For
their part, Wake Forest recruited Brooke well before her much publicized
ACL injury. They were one of the few schools that didn't back away and
re-assess their position afterwards. According
to Comets Coach Garfield Blair, they'll be well-rewarded for their
loyalty. Brooke was considered one of the top guards in her class before
the injury. She's taken time to get back into form, but Blair says she
had a fantastic tournament in Chicago recently. "She got her
defensive swagger back. Before, she couldn't cut and keep up with quick
guards. Now she is much more confident in her defense." We've
watched Brooke play since she was seven years old. If there is a more
intense competitor, we'd like to see her. She is the consummate point
guard. Smart, with a nice jumper and great court vision. Wake Forest is
getting a keeper. Congratulations,
Brooke!! You go, girl!!! |
