In the Fall of 2003, OREGON DISTRICTS 7, 2,4, and 3 made financial contributions to help with District expenses at our start-up as a new District, and OREGON STATE LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL advanced a starter fund loan (paid off in 2005!) Thanks, folks!!
Also, to assist in the startup of the new non-profit, State Farm Insurance Companies donated office equipment - a fax machine, a copier/collater, and two laptops, a hard drive, monitor, and printer specifically for District 9 administrative operations! (All are now defunct.) "State Farm's Good Neighbor Grant Program" allows its employees and agents to apply for a $500 grant toward any non-profit program where they volunteer 40 or more hours per year! There's one State Farm employee on District Staff -- and a $500 grant is applied for each year - with the funds going to the General Account to help with operations and training expenses.
We ALWAYS encourage folks to check with the Personnel/Human Resources Department where they work and see if donations and/or grants are avaiable to organizations where you volunteer! Please do so - and dedicate your 'gift' to your local chartered Little League.

The Action Photographer is a "Sponsor" Fundraiser/Photographer for the District 9 local tournaments, and State tournaments hosted in District 9. We've partnered up with them for our Challenger Division team photos as well.
For the Challenger teams, NSP has always provided a free sponsor plaque for each sponsor, a free 'coach' picture of their team and a percentage of the sales to District 9. With the tournament action photos, a percentage of all sales comes direct back to the District - helping cover the costs of those same tournaments.
NSP is a sports photography company that was established in Portland, Oregon in 1976. It has been under the ownership of Larry & Cheri Tabaka since 1987. At that time it was a very small business run out of a home garage. It is currently the largest sports photography company in Oregon and Washington.
NSP started its Action Program over 7 years ago and now shoots action for many of the Northwest's High School and Youth tournaments, including baseball, softball, swimming, and soccer.
We take action and candid shots on one day, process in our lab, and return to your tournaments as early as the next day with captioned sheets including 1 5x7, 1 3x5, and 2 wallets for purchase while your tournament is still in progress. No waiting for proofs or other delays.
NSP is proud to offer a new service for 1 day tournaments. You can now view your photos online, just choose the images you want, and we take care of the rest.
