New Little League Rules for 2009 - Pitchers, Majors & Minors

The following New Little League Rules for 2009 are in place for the ONLL 2009 Season:

NEW LITTLE LEAGUE RULES FOR 2009

I. By local league decision, the Major League Division will be redrafted this year.

II. A pitcher that has been removed from the mound cannot return to the game as a pitcher but may play any other position, including catcher.

III. Local leagues were given the option to choose between "Option 1" and "Option 2" regarding pitch count and days/games of rest. ONLL has chosen "Option 2" which reads as follows:

a. Pitchers league age 16 and under who deliver 61 or more pitches in a game must have 4 calendar days of rest.

b. Pitchers league age 16 and under who deliver 41-60 pitches in a game must have 3 calendar days of rest.

c. Pitchers league age 16 and under who deliver 21-40 pitches in a game must have 2 calendar days of rest.

d. No days of rest required for a pitcher who delivers under 20 pitches in a game.
