PeeWee Football
Congratulations to our PeeWee team, once again! They won the playoff game, now they're on to the CHAMPIONSHIPS!! The game is Saturday, November 1st at Hennigher, at 7:00 p.m. Players need to be there by 5:30! Come to the game, make signs, show your Oswego Buccaneer Pride!!!!!!!!!
Coach Rick told the team if they went on the Championships, he would get a mohawk!!! He kept his word!!!!!!!

PEE WEE FOOTBALL:
Congratulations to our Pee wee Football team, they finished 2nd place in our division! This has cinched a home playoff game for them! Come support them at the Middle School, the game is tentatively scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday 10/25/08! Come to the game, make signs, show some Oswego Buccaneer pride!!! If they win, they are on to the CNYPW East Division Championship!!!!!!! GO BUCS!!!! Let's do this!!!!

Please remember to get your nomination letter turned in. These nominations are for volunteers and parents who give more of themselves and set good examples for the participants of Pop Warner. This organization is run completly by volunteers, our board, head coaches, assistant coaches, team parents, etc...We have many worthy candidates, please seek them out. SU fundraiser is on
We do not have a game time yet, We are not going to push the
fundraiser due to this, however anyone wanting to purchas tickets
contact Mary Anne Crisafulli (343-8596) Tickets must be paid for when
placing the order.
tickets will be $15 per ticket, the organization gets $5 per ticket sold

2008 Physicals
Dr Varnum and Nurse Kristina are once again doing us a TREMENDOUS
favor and are doing POP WARNER medical release physicals for us.
These Physicals are ONLY for POP WARNER!
They are low cost @ $15.00 per participant
Mark your calendars because
NO ONE CAN PARTICIPATE with out the medical realease physical form filled out by both the parent and medical personel.
JULY 17th 3pm-5:30pm @ Dr. Varnum's office 33 East Schuyler Street.
If you are having your physical done elsewhere, you MUST use the 2008 Pop Warner form.

2008 Coaches named
FOOTBALL COACHES
Flag = Ed Salm, Ed is a parent of a 5 year old starting with us this season. Ed is very excited to join us along with his his assistant Tammy Salm. Ed is very open to the goals of Oswego Pop Warner football program and can't wait to get started! Welcome aboard Ed and Tammy
Mitey Mites = Coach Ed Doviak, Ed has coached with the organization for going on 4 years now, 1 year at Mitey Mites as an Assistant coach and the last 2 years as the Head Flag coach, he is joining us again at the Mitey Mite level where he hopes to field a hawk division team comprised of new and 7 year old players. Ed has attended coaches clinics including the NFF (National Football Foundation) and most recently the Syracuse University Coaches Clinic. Ed has been named 2007 Oswego Pop Warner Sportman of the year and has been nominated for consideration for the 2007 Central New York Dave Mancini Sportsman of the year award. We are very lucky to have him at such a fun and instructional level of football.
Jr. Pee Wee= Coach Shawn Clary, Shawn has been with the organization for going on 6 seasons this year. He assistant coached at the Flag level for 2 years; moved on to coach the Mites on 2 very successful years (1 where his son moved up and he stayed put) and assistant coached last year at the Jr. Pee Wee level. Coach Shawn has also attended hands on clinics put on by NFF. Shawn has shown the willingness and the ability to coach fundamental football. Shawn has shown much decication to the kids of Oswego Pop Warner and is a GREAT Coach.
Pee Wee= Coach Rick Crisafulli, Rick has been head coaching in Oswego Pop Warner for going on 12 years now. he started at the flag level with his then 5 year old son, after spending several years at each level he is now moving up to our highest fielded level in Oswego Pop Waner. Coach Rick has attended many, many coaching clinics including but not limited to NFL/NFF, NYSCA and most recently Syracuse University. He has taken on his roll as football coordinator with much energy and enthusiasm. Coach Rick is extremely dedicated to OPW and very respected among players, parents and his peers. His teams are always well prepared, well conditioned, well diciplined and VERY competative, making playoffs and in EVERY game.

criminal background check.

Friday, May 30
2008 Mitey Mite football
starting the 2008 season, Mitey Mite football will play their first 3
games in 10 down modified scrimmage with coaches on the field.
the last 4 games of the season will be played 4-down football, with no
kicking.

Mouthguards
When purchasing mouthguards for the 2007 season be sure that they are not clear. Pop Warner rules state that they cannot be clear so that the referees can see them and are assured that the football players are wearing a guard. Thanks!
PROTOCOL
problems, questions or concerns.
If you have a problem with a coach first try to resolve the problem with the Head coach of the team. Sometime problems occur and it is just a communication issue.
If problem cannot be resolved you must First go to the appropriate coordinator (Football or Cheerleading).
Complaints are to be put in writing and NOT Anonymous, you MUST include your name and contact information.
Any Problem a coordinator cannot handle will then be taken to the President by the coordinator.
Any problem the President cannot resolve, He/She will ask for help from the CNYPW Executive board. ONLY THE PRESIDENT OR THEIR DESIGNEE ARE TO CONTACT CNYPW WITH A PROBLEM OR CONCERN REGARDING OPW.
NO PETS ALLOWED AT ANY POP WARNER FOOTBALL FIELD
There are no animals allowed to be brought to any games, PLEASE leave your dogs at home
