On Deck Fury 12: Welcome
Tuesday, April 22Our season is in full-stride. By the end of April, we will have played in 25+ games this month alone. This is the fun part of the schedule due to the limited practices, but increased gametime experience. Our schedule was prepared methodically to be challenging and rigorous at this point in the season.
We have compiled a record of 25 wins-10 losses-3 ties in our last 38 games. That's pretty exciting based upon the level of our competition, which included a 14u Friendly. During that stretch, we have logged wins or ties against the likes of '95 San Diego Renegades, Jynx, '96 Nemesis, '95 Minors Gold, and a well-coached Team Smith. Our competition, team-continuity, and increasing confidence have been key ingredients to our latest success. Our size, athleticism, and most importantly team-speed have really started to give opponents fits.
Personal recognitions. SG and TS continue to lead the team in hitting. CD and CG continue to anchor our rotation, giving us arguably one of the best 1-2 pitching combo's in So Cal. Our defense has really tightened up with stellar play from JH, SG, and RM. The emergence of the bat from RM has made our tournament line-up deadly from top-to-bottom. Lastly, our team speed with SG, AL, TS, RM, and JH has been truely remarkable.
Our team is currently endorsing Noleana "Woody" Woodard 951-377-3072 as our hitting instructor. Credentials can be found at www.just-softball.com. For lessons, give her a call. Our team is also being assisted on and off the field by Derek Valenzuela and Joe Butler of the Chicago White Sox.
Players, the times and experiences from these last several months are not only valuable in softball and sports, but are real valuable in everyday-life. IE, working hard and being rewarded for hard work, developing team-comradarie, developing a team and individual identity, understanding class, and most importantly playing softball the way it is supposed to be played. These virtues are being applied to softball now, but can be applied to your life, business, and family moving forward!
Red Ball Leaders:
CG, MR, CD - 4 Red Balls
SG - 3 Red Balls
CB, AL, TS, JH, & RM - 1 Red Ball
HR Leaders:
TS - 4 Home Runs
CB & CG - 3 Home Runs

Keep up the hard and great work Ladies!!!
