Master Michael W. Hicks
Master Michael W. Hicks is a retired Montgomery Police officer and has worked in the public school D.A.R.E. program. He was named D.A.R.E. Officer of the Year in 1994 and is currently working for the University of Alabama at Birmingham Police department.
Master Hicks is a certified 4th degree black belt instructor with the World Tang Soo Do Association. He began his martial arts career in 1972 and has been teaching for over 30 years.
Master Hicks served as region 6 Director for 8 years until 1990 and was named World Tang Soo Do Association Master of the Year in 1990. Head of the weapons sub-committee, he is personally responsible for the development of the Association sword form.
He has dedicated his life to the martial arts and development of Tang Soo Do in his students.
