It's important to me to only identify team successes; 55 Tournament Championships won, 24 Tournament Finalists (runner-up,) 21 League Championships won (in 4 different leagues – Peterborough, Cobourg, Oshawa, Dieppe,) 10 League Finalists (runner-up,) 6 International Softball Congress (ISC 1) World Tournaments played in, 3 Canadian Senior Men’s Championship Tournaments played in (2 other times asked but declined because of previous commitments with teams,) 2 Canadian Masters Fastball Championship Gold Medals, 4 Ontario Amateur Softball Association (OASA) Provincial Gold Medals, 1 North American Fastpitch Association (NAFA) World Series Championship Gold Medal, 9 Ontario Amateur Softball Association (OASA) Provincial Silver Medals, 1 Amateur Softball Association (ASA) – 3rd place finish (71 teams entered - 1995,) 3 AAU Men’s International Tournament played in, Had the privilege of playing tournaments in many different states and provinces in North America.

9)                 Who are some of your favourite teammates / associates and opposing players to play with and against over the years? First of all, there are too many friends, people I respect in the game and acquaintance’s to name them all. I will only mention a few who have been with me, side by side in those many wars we have fought on the diamond, so please don’t feel slighted if I have accidentally not included your name because there is too many to list;  Troy Gilmour, Dave Waldie, John Kemp, Craig Minnife, Bill Fairney, Steve Connelly, Sylvia ‘Sparky’ Ryan, Dave Birnie, Brian McFadden, Mike Crawford, Craig Buttar, Steve Bedard, Rod Foster, Pat ‘Snap’ and Shelley Rutherford, Ted Conway, Sammy Forbes, some previous long standing catchers; John Kemp, Dave ‘Hogger’ Hedger, Butch Harper.  Of course my 2 biggest supporters, Moe and Christina Wells.  Also to all those catchers out there, the only ones who actually feel for you guys are us pitchers.

11)      Plans for 2008 & beyond ? Unsure because of my current desire, and of course, those old nagging injuries at my age.

12)             Any additional thoughts ? For those players and managers who always wanted to eliminate this old man out of the Masters level for years and even at the ripe old age of 47 years old………well, give it up!   Besides that, I’d like to thank all the towns, village’s and organizations (ISC, OASA, Softball Canada, NAFA, etc) that continue to support this great game of ours and hopefully it continues for a long period of time.
