12) Any additional thoughts ? In 1997 I was about to retire when I got a call from The Gumper. They needed a catcher to go play in some Masters tourney in Cobourg. I caught 6 games that weekend , won a silver medal & had the time of my life ! Every Masters tournament since has been the same. Win or lose, you play good caliber fastball, against some great ballplayers, who are there because they love the game. Over the years they’ve all become good friends. Cold Springs , Cobourg, Alvinston, Mitchell, etc. It doesn’t matter, They are all great people first, ballplayers second. I am truly blessed to have been around these guys for so long. Have fun every time you go to the ball park ! Every at bat.! Every routine play! They are numbered now. Slammin Sammy (slammin the truck door after going 0 for 4) J
