Major League Hockey have announced their award winners and Jason Polera of the Petrolia Squires beat out the league's leading scorer, Mark Jooris, of Dundas for the Most Valuable Player to his team award. Jooris, who averaged 2.8 points per game, was named first all-star team centre and Polera got the nod at right wing on the second all-star team. Marc West of the McCoys is the league's top defenceman and Tyler Pelton from Brantford repeated as the most sportsmanlike player over runner-up Gilbert Dionne of the Hornets. The rookie of the year honours went to Tillsonburg goaltender Craig Murrell. The best individual goaltender was Kory Cooper also from Tillsonburg with a 3.12 goals against average in 22 games played bettering the 3.76 average posted by Eion McInerney of the Blues although Aylmer shared the best team goaltending award with a 3.51 goals against average between McInerney, Scott Dickie, Jarret Rose and Joe Facca.

The MLH first all-star team is coached by Frank Mueller and Jeff Smith from Tillsonburg with Greg Storms also from Tillsonburg as the General Manager. The Vipers fill the goaltending position as well with Kory Cooper flanked by a pair of defencemen from Dundas, Marc West and Scott Young and they are led up front by Jooris and his team-mate, Bobby Stewart who was runner-up in the scoring race, with Jason Glover of the Aylmer Blues filling out the first team on right wing. The second all-star team coaches are Rick Vaive and Scott Morrison from Dundas and Don Robertson of the McCoys is the General Manager. Darryl Foster from Petrolia is in goal; the defence pairing is Ryan Risidore from Aylmer and Kris Fraser from Tillsonburg and the centre is Paul Polillo from Brantford flanked by Gilbert Dionne of the Hornets and Jason Polera from Petrolia.
