Hello Arrows Parents!!

I know it is difficult to think about another hockey season during the
beautiful Spring Baseball Season (although the current weather feels
like Hockey Weather), however, I need your attention for just a few
minutes.

For those of you planning to play travel hockey who HAVE NOT registered
for next hockey season as of yet, we are asking that you do so by May
28th (at the latest). We have changed the registration procedure for
the coming year in order to submit required team information to the WNY
Hockey League by their July 1 deadline. We would like a $50.00 deposit
toward the registration fee, however, full registration does not need to
be paid in full until September 30th. (Which means you have all summer
to make payments.)

We will be holding an in person registration on Wednesday, May 28 from 6pm-8pm at the Rec Center (rink) for those wishing to register in
person. SAVE GAS $$, mail the attached registration form to: OAYHA, PO Box
851, Olean, NY 14760.

For many of you, travel hockey would be new and we realize you are
unsure about all that is entailed with travel hockey. Volunteers will be on
hand during the evening of the 28th for anyone who would like to learn
about travel hockey before registering. Please feel free to attend and
ask any questions you would like. If you are unable to attend, please
feel free to contact any of the OAYHA board members with any questions.
The more informed you are, the better decision you can make for your
child.

Forms for registration can be found in the handout section, or we will have them available that evening.

In order to streamline the rostering process, we are also requiring
that you register your player for USA Hockey registration on-line
(www.usahockeyregistration.com). The fee for this is $30.00, plus the state
affiliation fee - NY is $3.00 (which is no longer refundable by the
association). You MUST print off the registration confirmation and submit it
to OAYHA. Your player MUST be registered with USA Hockey in order to
partcipate in OAYHA events. If you need help with this on-line process,
you can contact Chris Sklener or Donna Howard and we can help you out
with this process.
