Professional Baseball in Maine dates back to the last century. Since 1901 and the advent of the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues (Minor League Baseball’s governing body) professional baseball has called nine different Maine Cities home, stretching from Calais to Old Orchard Beach. The Sea Dogs are Portland’s first entry since 1949, the last season of the Portland Pilots. They are now a part of the Boston Red Sox organization.

As the national governing body of softball in the United States, the Amateur Softball Association/USA Softball is responsible for selecting players & coaches for the Olympic Games, Pan American Games and ISF World Championships.
This site will provide information on all USA Softball National Teams - rosters, player and coach biographies, competition schedules, statistics and, when possible, live play-by-play updates. If live updates are not feasible, complete information will be posted as soon as possible at the conclusion of the event.
