Coach Ed Raymond
Coach Raymond is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was a second baseman at Iowa Western Community College in 1980 and 1981. His IWCC 1980 team (47- 17) won their Region and played in the NJCAA World Series. Coach Raymond then played at the University of Dayton where he lead the Flyers in extra base hits in 1982 and doubles in 1983 and finished his Flyer career with a .290 batting average. He is married with 3 children (Cydney, Samantha, and Olivia) and works for Coca-Cola. This is his third year coaching the Post 39, Oldham Aces.
Asst Coach Rick Rhodes
Coach Rhodes is a native of Louisville who returned in 2006. At Westport HS, he played both basketball and baseball. Drafted in the 15th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1973, Coach Rhodes went back to college. Having pitched on two SEC Championship teams at Vanderbilt, he was slected All-SEC in 1974 and graduated from Vanderbilt in 1975. After graduation, he signed and pitched in the Atlanta Braves organization for several years. He is married with 2 children. His son played baseball at U of L and lives in Louisville; his daughter moved here with her husband in 2007. He coached baseball at Manual in 2008 and Ballard in 2009. He coached the Oldham Aces beginning in 2010.
