Oklahoma Sensations: Welcome

About Us

Founded by Amy Lou in 1986 as Oklahoma City Sensations, this organization started as a traveling competitive 18U softball organization with players from Oklahoma City and surrounding area such as Choctaw, Yukon, Edmond, and Chickasha.   The coaches were Jack Daggs, Genny (Honea) Stidham and Amy Lou.  Genny is now the head softball coach at University of Central Oklahoma.   All of our athletes received some form of softball scholarships from DIV I, DIV II, NAIA, or junior colleges.

In 1991, Gene Templeton, Jack Dagg's friend, took over the softball organization and exist currently.  They still hold the same original colors of navy, teal and white.  Currently, there is no association with the softball organization.

In 2010, Amy Lou resurrected the name of Oklahoma Sensations to form a travelling youth (girls) development and competitive basketball organization.  Oklahoma Sensation, Inc. is now incorporated as a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation teaching life learning skills through hoops and bounces.

We currently have three age groups consisting of high school, middle school (12u) and elementary school (10u).  Our colors are Navy, Teal, and White and are coached by Denise Childress, Katie Reid, and Amy Lou.  We participate in local tournament and surrounding states such as Kansas and Texas.
