2009 USSSA U10/AAA State Champions

2009 AAYBA World Series - 3rd Place

7/23/09 - The U10 Oklahoma Cardinals have returned home after a great week in St. Louis.  The team went 4-1-1 on the week and took Third place in the Platinum Division.  The boys played well all week and they had a great time.  The team took a tour of Busch Stadium, spent a day at Six Flags, watched the Cardinals vs. Diamondbacks game, participated in a parade around the field, watched batting practice, and Played some baseball during the week as well. This has truly been the best group of players, coaches, and some of the parents I have ever been around.  Great Job Cardinals and the best of Luck to all of you this Fall!!  I look forward to watching you hit the field again next Spring.  Go Cardinals!!    

7/7/09 - The U10 Oklahoma Cardinals will be attending the AAYBA World Series in St. Louis next week.  The team will be representing Oklahoma in this event in the U10 Division.  Our players are excited and we look forward to competing against the best teams from other States that have entered this tournament.  GOOD LUCK CARDINALS and lets bring home the Big Trophy and show St. Louis how baseball is played in OKLAHOMA!!  

6/21/09 - The U10 OK Cardinals played in the USSSA State U10 AAA Tournament this weekend in Muskogee.  The team went 4-0 on the weekend and took home the State Championship.  Outstading hitting, pitching, and defense helped guide the team to their first State Championship in their first year as a team.  The OK Cardinals would like to thank the U10 OK Liners on two outstanding games this weekend in the heat of the Oklahoma Summer.  Great weekend of Baseball Cardinals!! Next Stop - St. Louis for the AAYBA World Series in July.   

6/17/09 - The U10 OK Cardinals stepped up and played in the USSSA Super NIT U10 Majors last weekend in Chickasha.  The team was up to the challenge and played some of the best baseball of the season.  The team went 2-2 against some of the best competition we have seen all year.  Great Job Cardinals!!! Now lets get healthy and see what we can do in the State Tournament this weekend in Muskogee!!    

6/8/09 - The U10 OK Cardinals stayed home this weekend and played in the Biagini Benefit Tournament in Edmond.  The team started out strong in pool play, but had to overcome some hurdles on Sunday to win the Championship.  The team went 5-0 and only gave up 4 runs on the weekend.  Outstanding pitching, solid defense, and solid hitting lead the team to the Championship. Great Job Cardinals!!!!!!!!!

6/1/09 - The U10 OK Cardinals spent the weekend of May 29th-31st playing in the USSSA Tournament in Edmond.  The team had a great weekend going 5-0 and taking home the 1st place trophy.  In 5 games, the team threw 3 shutouts and only gave up 12 runs all weekend.  Great Job Cardinals, Keep up the hard work!!! 

The Cardinals would also like to Wish AJ a fast and healthy recovery from his broken foot.  The team missed you this weekend and dedicated their games to you!  Get Well 00!!!  

5/26/09 - The Ok Cardinals spent the Memorial Day weekend in Chickasha playing in a very tough U10 tournament.  The team responded by going 5-1 on the weekend and taking 3rd place.  The team lost a 2-1 semi-final game to the NT Titans.  Both teams had the chance to blow the game wide open, but great defense and pitching on both sides kept the game close.  While we were disappointed that we were going home, the team continues to play some of the best baseball on the season.  Great Job boys and keep up the Hard Work!!!   

5/16/09 - The team was rained out in Shawnee  

5/12/09 - The OK Cardinals finally played an entire weekend of baseball in the Tulsa East/West Shootout.  The team started out on fire Friday night, but struggled on Saturday dropping two games.  The boys re-grouped and played some of the best baseball of the season on Sunday.  Beating the OK Liners, Tulsa Blaze, and Storm Baseball to take home the 1st place trophy in the Silver Bracket.  Our bats were hot, our pitchers were on, and are "Attitudes were on fire".  "BOW UP" boys and lets finish the season strong!

4/28/09 - The OK/texas Shootout has come and gone. WOW, what a collection of U10 teams in the same ballpark all weekend.  While the Cardinals didn't play up to our potential, we had a great time and learned a lot from the games we played.  The team is getting better each and every weekend.  Hopefully we will get rolling and continue to compete with the top teams in the State.  Stay tuned -  we are just getting started!!  

4/20/09 - Another tournament rained out by Mother Nature this Spring.  The Cardinals won their first game on Saturday 6-1 over the CC Indians.  The team was waiting to play in the Semifinals on Sunday.  However, the rain started on Saturday night and the tournament was called off.  The team was playing well and looking forward to a tough Tournament.  Next Up for the team - The OK/texas Shootout!!  Good Luck Cardinals!!     

4/12/09 - The team took a trip down to Ada this weekend to play in a one day tournament.  The boys came to play and looked great all weekend.  We played ourself into the finals against the Cuda's.  The game started out with both pitchers on fire.  The bats were hot and the game was shaping up to be a great one.  However, mother nature got involved and the game was called in the 2nd Inning due to Lightning.  I can't wait to see these two teams hook it up again in the future.  Great Job Cardinals!!

4/5/09 - Great Job this weekend Cardinals in your 3rd Place finish in a very Tough Tournament in Chickasha!!  You took on two of the toughest U10 teams in the State and played great.  We came up a play or two short in the last game, but you all never gave up.  You made some great plays when needed and showed a lot of heart.  Pitching was outstanding every game this weekend.  I will take playing the best teams in the State against trophy hunting any day!!  Keep up the GREAT WORK CARDINALS!  Like I told you after the game on Sunday, I will take this team anywhere to play baseball.  Great Parents, Great players, and a lot of Heart!  There is NO QUIT in this group!         

3/15/09 - The OK Cardinals took the field this weekend in the Chickasha USSSA Spring Training Tournament.  The team finished with a 2-2 record.  We ran into a Red Hot North Texas Titans team on Saturday night and lost a close game 4-2.  The team responded late Sunday and finished on a positive note by beating the Wichita Falls Outlaws in our final game.  Good Job Cardinals, we are just getting started.    

3/9/09 - The 2009 OK Cardinals took the field this weekend for the first time.  We played in the USSSA Tournament at Hafer Park in Edmond.  The team went 5-0 and took home the 1st Place Trophy.  Great pitching, OUTSTANDING HITTING, and solid defense by the entire team all weekend.  

2/17/09 - The U10 Ok Cardinals have just completed their first ever Cardinals Olympics.  The boys had a great time and competed hard all day.  So for their effort, here are the players with bragging rights for the Spring of 2009 Baseball Season.

1/16/09 -The U10 Ok Cardinals would like to welcome everyone to our 2009 Baseball website.  We hope that everyone had a great Winter vacation.  We look forward to competing with all the teams this Spring on the field.  The Cardinals have filled out their 2009 Spring roster with 11 exciting baseball players.  We look forward to getting back on the field very soon and playing some baseball.  Good luck to everyone this Spring!
