PEI Pub Trivia Night
The following is an announcement from The PEI Pub's Wayne. Might be good to get a regular Oita Oni & Friends team involved...
The PEI Pub staff have met with a couple of new ALT`s and private school teachers and came up with a few ideas about how to create an environment in which Japanese and foreigners alike can get together and enjoy an exciting evening out! A type of night which until now, couldn`t be experienced in Oita.
What I wanted to pass by everybody was the idea of a trivia night. We were planning to do it starting on this coming Wednesday The basic idea would be for people to create teams of 2-6 people and work together to answer 10-20 questions with the team with the most correct answers winning a bar tab. (쳌쳌5,000) We need feedback because we must decide quickly wether or not the event should also be done in english or not.
We will post the winning teams and after a few months we will have the winning teams face off again. We would try to create a quiz that would be challenging for people from all over the world using topics such as music, sports, politics, geography, world history, famous people and well known historical events etc.
Unfortunately our bar can only seat about 30 people and it would be on a first come first serve basis. (preferably reserving your table via email)
We do feel that this event will go really well as it is sweeping
different areas of the world now and also because the response thus far has been overwhelming.
Tonight (sunday) the world cup rugby games are being shown on the two tv`s at the pub! Drop by!
