Disappointing Finish for Oilers
HBHS Varsity Lacrosse team came out strong on Friday night against rival Tesoro High of Rancho Santa Margarita. We scored 3 times in the first quarter, but by the half, Tesoro managed to squeak by with a closely fought 6-5 lead. Goalie Kevin Shepley faced an onslaught of 32 shots on goal, and managed to deflect most attempts. In the end, Tesoro overtook HB with a final score of 11-6. Attack Nathan Hesse was a top scorer with 3 goals, followed by Jared Perez, Andrew Jackson and Hunter Costin with one goal each. Helping the game were assists by Jeffrey Wong, Hunter Costin and Nathan Hesse.
