Try-outs for the 2009-2010 Wolfpack Organization:
What we the Wolfpack Organization will be looking for... ANY and ALL positions. We want players that want to play hard, practice harder, and strive to win everytime they step on the field..............
BUT most important we will: Have fun, make friends, and enjoy the game of softball along the way!!!
Our main goal for every team will be to play in tournaments where there will be college coaches. This means that all the teams are teams focusing on players wanting to play at the next level!
Tryout Dates:
Saturday August 15th.

Tryout Location:
The Wolfpack Organization will hold ALL try-outs at Massillon Washington High School varsity softball field. The Massillon Varsity Softball Field is located at the corner of 20th street and Harsh Ave, Massillon, OH 44646 located behind Paul brown Tiger Football Stadium.
The Wolfpack 18U MAY hold a try-out at Hillsdale High School. The Hillsdale Varsity Softball Field is located at 485 Twp. Rd. 1902, Jeromsville, OH 44840 in the back of the school. We will announce this date IF needed!!!
Tryout Times:
Please arrive a half hour early to any and all try-outs to fill out some paper work and so you can stretch and throw prior to start time!
The ONLY day the Wolfpack is having tryouts are Saturday August 15th.

GENERAL TEAM INFORMATION:
Team cost = $600.00 = What does that $600.00 get me?
Entry fee to around 6-7 Summer tournament (Avg $450)
(2) Fall tournament (Avg $400),
(1) Indoor Winter tournaments (Avg $350)
(2-3) Uniforms around $70.00 per set so $140.00 - 210.00 per girl.
1 Helmet = $32.00
1 bat bag = $50.00
1 Pull-over = $40.00
1 sweat pants = $25.00
1 T-Shirt = $10.00
About $300.00 per player to dress them! About $300.00 per player to pay for a tournament = $600.00 Team fees!
Team insurance, Sanction fees, misc. $150.00 - $200.00 per team
Team fundraisers = How much can I expect to get back? (Avg. $200 - $400 per family)
We will host a Fall Best of the Best Showcase on Oct. 10 & 11, 2009. You will be required to attend and help rake fields, man the gate or sell concessions.
We will also host 2-3 weekend tournaments this next 2010 season (Tentative dates are June 4,5,6 and June 25,26,27 and July 2,3,4). You will be required to work ALL 3 tournaments in some way. Work the gate by taking money, raking and lineing fields, or ect.
We DO NOT & WILL NOT sell candy, candles, cards, etc. or anything to help off set team costs. We may run some type of gambling night that you would be required to sell tickets and work that night(s).
Team Sponsorship Letter = What is this and how will it benefit my family?
The Ohio Wolfpack Organization is a 501 (C) (3) Non-Profit Organization and we can solict funds from area bussinesses and they are permitted to write those donations off. You may get as much as you want to help pay for your team fees. Any amount raised over $1,800.00 in be put into the Ohio Wolfpack General Fund. We will log the money you raised and deduct from your fees. You can download a sponsor sheet from the website. Look under handouts. You may modify the letter to fit your needs!
List of local tournaments = To me (Stark County) is local
All of our tournaments will be held in the Stark County Area As of now. Which include the Fall Best of the Best Showcase Oct. 11 & 12, 18U ASA National Qualifier and the Summer Best of the Best Showcase.
How many players will you try to carry on the team? We will keep no more than 12 - 14 girls.
I would like to have 2-3 pitchers, 2 catchers, 2-3 girls that can play 1st or 3rd. 2-4 girls that can play the middle infield and or rotate to play some OF. Have 2-3 OF players.
Practice field location = We will practice at either Massillon Washington High School, Central Catholic High School, Perry High School, or Hillsdale High School 1-2 times a week during the season. Plan on practice to be every Wednesday during the season from 5:30pm - 7:30pm.
We will also practice on either Saturday or Sunday during the fall to get to know each other and get ready to play in the Akron College Showcase and the Fall Best of the Best Showcase.
Fall Ball Leagues = NOT mandatory But Practices will be!
Winter Hitting= Not Mandatory but HIGHLY suggested.
If we don't see 
you in the Winter......We may not see 
you as much in the summer!!!

June 4,5,6, 2010 = First Weekend - WHS Summer Tournament - Massillon, OH
June 11,12,13, 2010 = Second Weekend - ASA State Tournament - Cincy, OH
June 17, 18,19,20, 2010 = Third Weekend - Compuware Showcase - Canton, MI
June 25,26,27, 2010 = Fourth Weekend - ASA National Qualifier 18U - Massillon, OH
July 2,3,4, 2010 = Fifth Weekend - Best of the Best Summer Showcase 18U - Massillon, OH
July 9,10,11, 2010 = Sixth Weekend - Stingrays Columbus, OH or Kidron Classic 18U - Kidron, OH
July 16,17,18, 2010 = Seventh Weekend - Loudonville Showcase 18U - Loudonville, OH
Last week of July - First week of August is ASA 18U NATIONALS in Menifee, California!
