In 1971, the O'Fallon Booster Club was formed to give the children of our community affordable sports programs. The original cost was $5 per child. The fee was waived for low income families. The original club consisted of 40 members and sponsored little league basketball, volleyball and a one day track & field event. Today we have 400 members and sponsor such programs as: T-Ball, Baseball, Volleyball, Bowling, Spring and Fall Soccer, and Basketball. Booster Club funds also help our local parks, needy families at Christmas, and help our local schools to purchase sports equipment and improve their facilities. In 1993, when the city of Valmeyer was lost to the flooding, we helped provide Thanksgiving dinner for those devastated by the floods. Our only fundraiser is the Mayfest Picnic, held the weekend before Memorial weekend. It is held in the O'Fallon city park and consists of carnival rides, games, parades, car shows, music, entertainment and food and drinks. Yesterday, today and tomorrow, the O'Fallon Booster Club always strives for quality programs at affordable prices, and to help our community in any way we can.
