There will be a meeting for all those interested in wrestling at Cooper High School on Tuesday May 6th at 7:00pm at Camp Ernst Middle School in the multipurpose room. Please bring a Parent/Guardian to the meeting with you.
Also, there are some wrestling camps that are going to be held at three local high schools this spring and summer. Campbell County, Simon Kenton and Ryle.

The wrestling team will be having the annual banquet on Wednesay evening at 6:30pm in the cafeteria. Team pictures and awards will be passed out and we will be serving pizza and drinks for dinner. If you want to bring something, please bring a dessert. Thanks for such a great year.

Myself and Coach Jim will bring you to weigh ins, so your parents can sleep in. We will bring you back to the hotel after weigh ins. Please make sure to be on weight. 2. Please be at Scott High School at 6:45am for Weigh Ins at 7:00am Saturday morning. Wrestling will begin at 9:00am.
Wrestlers make sure to be on weight. If you don't make weight, you don't wrestle. No changes to the brackets can be made.

We will be wrestling in the Pitman Invitational, hosted by Elkhorn Middle School. The tournament is being held at:

This is a 16 man, double elimination tournament. The top 4 placers and top 4 teams will receive an award. This is a great chance to see some different competition and get ready for the regional tournament next weekend.
If you want to meet and follow us down to the tournament, we will be at Ockerman at 5:45am and leave shortly after that. Weigh ins are at 7:30am.
You can print off directions off of the link. I will also provide a hard copy to the kids on Friday night.
See you Friday night at practice. Please make sure to be on weight. Changes will not be able to be made if you miss weight.

Our tournament was a success. We finished in Third Place. Great effort for our first tournament of the year. We now know what we need to work on and I am confident that we will get there when we need to, by the end of the year.
Thank you to all of the parents who volunteered at the tournament. Without your help, the tournament would not have even come close to the success we had. We had several comments from Coaches, Parents, Referees and wrestlers how well the tournament ran. Thanks again for making the hospitality room a success as well. All of your items you brought were raved about. Great job!!!

I want to take this time to welcome you to the 2007/2008 Ockerman Wrestling Club. If you know of anyone who wants to sign up, please bring them to practice in the cafeteria.
We will begin with learning the basics of wrestling and progress forward each and every practice. We are not just about winning, but more of learning and appreciating the sport. You will be taught the moves needed to win in each practice. I do ask that you commit yourself and your time to learing the sport, and being at every practice. Each practice will build on the previous one. The wins will come with time. Be patient and be willing and ready to learn and push yourself every day.

Reminder Tuesday 12/4 Practice

We are going to have the remainder of wrestle offs Tuesday night. Also, we will be passing out your team singlets and bags. Please be at practice to make sure the singlets fit. I should have the remainder of your warm-ups ready for you after weigh-ins at Twenhofel on Wednesday. Directions can be printed off of the link provided.
