The Orange County Bucks were founded in 1984 from an influx of Long Beach State and Cal State Fullerton Alumni. The Bucks worked their way up from the depths of Division III (Blue) to being a major contender for the Division II (White) title by 1989. Another good recruiting year witnessed an influx of players from the East Coast and pushed the Bucks into the elite Southern California Division I (Red) in the early '90s. Over the next decade the Bucks then settled back into the Blue Division and have been competitive ever since. In 2003 Division III was re-vamped, new additions; Old Aztecs, Kern County, SLO, and Eagle Rock all from Division II made it a tough year. The Bucks finished third overall after beating Kern County at the 2003 Santa Barbara playoffs with an exciting win, 27-26. From 2004 to 2007 the Bucks have been contenders for the top spot in the D3 Blue Division. Before the 2008 season the Bucks faced the loss of a number of starting players. With returning veteran players, a new coaching staff and a strong recruitment drive for new players we put together an exciting season. The Bucks finished a strong 2nd in league, and upset an undefeated Eagle Rock in the final match of the regular season. During the 2009 season the OC Bucks celebrated their 25th year of rugby and finished in 3rd place in the Southern California Football Union Blue Division.

The Bucks are going to field two sides next season. We will have one side in the Open Division, as well as continue to endure the depths of DIII... Recruiting Starts Today!!!
