Tennis Badges are available at Borough Hall

Badge Fees: $25 Individual 18 and over,$20 Senior 60 and over, $50 all out of town people.

Please make sure that you have a badge. Courts are used on a first come basis.

If you do not have a badge you will be asked to leave.

 OAKLAND YOUTH TENNIS CLINIC

* When:  Saturday, June 27th, 2009 - From 10:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.

*Required:  Six (6) courts for the time specified above.

*Eligible Participants:  Oakland Boys and Girls - Ages 7 through  17

*Format:  Instructions will be offered by three (3) tennis professionals, including world-renowned Colin Dibley, the Australian Davis Cup Team member, Wimbledon Semi-Finalist and victor over Jimmy Connors and Ile Nastase.  Dibley also held the record for the world's fastest serve - 148 miles per hour.

*The children will be divided into three (3) age groups.    7-10; 10-13; 13-17

*Instruction will cover ground strokes (i.e., forehand and backhand), the volley, and serve).

*Courts 1-3 will be utilized for instruction, while courts 4-6 will be used for actual play, with groups switching from one to the other at noon.

*Children who sign up, and participate in the clinic will receive a free can of championship tennis balls.

*Each child  should be accompanied by a parent,  and provide his/her own tennis racket and sneakers. 

*At  the conclusion of the clinic there will be an exhibition match featuring Colin Dibley and his co-instructors.

*Parents should indicate their child's participation by faxing or e-mailing their intention to me, either at my e-mail address - choppo2@aol.com, or via my fax at 201-337-0817.  Parents should indicate name, address and child's (or childrens) age(s).
