Welcome to the Oak Harbor Youth Football League (OHYFL) Official Web Site. The OHYFL is a non-profit organization that provides a positive learning environment for children ages 7-14 in the Oak Harbor area that want to participate in tackle football and cheerleading activities.
The OHYFL is affiliated with the North Cascades Youth Football League (NCYFL) which includes football programs from 15 cities located in Island, Skagit, Snohomish, Whatcom and San Juan counties.
With 7 football teams, the OHYFL has over 200 players from the Oak Harbor school district area that participate each year between July and November. With the kids best interest in mind, the Executive Board of OHYFL has established the following goals for our organization;
1. Always remember the game is for the kids.
2. To be a positive influence in each child's life.
3. To teach the fundamentals of tackle football and team cheerleading.
4. To encourage kids, regardless of race, religion, or creed, to participate in a positive activity.
5. To teach sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, self control, and respect for oneself, teammates, opponents, and coaches.
6. To ensure we have a program that promotes the safety of all of its participants.
7. To instill community pride.
8. To teach core values through football that can be used in all aspects of life.
Please feel free to cruise around our site and see what Oak Harbor Youth Football is all about.

PANTHERS raised the most money for the OHYFL
The Panther team brought in the most money for the OHYFL Car Wash this year. The fund raiser was held at Albertsons, and it actually rained on us for the first time in several years. The team won themselves a pizza party. Congratulations Pathers.
Please do not alter your childs jersey
We understand that many players and parents are disappointed that the names will not be on the jersey this year. While we regret this error, we want all to remember that this is a team sport. It is not what we accomplish as individuals but rather as a whole. With that being said, please do not alter the jersey. We want our entire league to look uniform and as one team. It would be disrespectful to have one child’s name on their jersey because it is short enough to fit while another child’s name will not fit.
Any child whose jersey is altered will not be allowed to participate.
We will be handing out your player’s name with a coupon to have the name adhered to your sweatshirt or t-shirt for free at Blue Fox Screen Printing. The article of clothing to have the name adhered to must be clean. A dirty sweatshirt or t-shirt will damage the equipment. Also, you will need to call at least 30 minutes in advance of your arrival at Blue Fox Screen Printing which is located at the Blue Fox Drive In.

2008 Season Begins
In order to clean up the site all participants have been deleted as users, you will have to request access again. We're sorry for the inconvenience. Any issues, please address them with the OHYFL President, Mark Schroeder.
Parent Volunteers Needed!!!!
We are in immediate need of volunteers to help in the Snack Shack and Souviner Shop. All of us should try to volunteer at least once this year to keep food and drinks available during home games and manning the Souvenir Shop. The snack shack provides a convenient place for refreshments during the home games, and income from the Snack Shack and the Souvenir Shop helps keep our registration costs low by providing a viable source of income for the league through food and other sales such as clothing. Please contact your Team Parent to volunteer in the snack shack or to volunteer in the Souvenir Shop as soon as possible if you are available before or after your child's game anytime this season. A schedule is being put together now, so call ASAP and get the time that works best for you.
I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has a hand in keeping this league running, from volunteers with "positions", to every parent that makes sure their children are at the practice and game fields on time. Remember, football is just a game, and we are all doing this for our kids.
Good Luck This Season!
Field Help Wanted
Parents,
We need volunteers from each home team to help with the chains and the downmarker. OHYFL is responsible for providing the volunteers at games played on our field, and it would be great if you could volunteer to help with these. Also, we do not have staff to clean-up the field after games on Saturdays, so please clean-up after your families before you leave the field. If you are available to man the chains or downmarker at any of the upcoming games, please contact OHYFL League.
Thank-you
