STEP UP TO THE PLATE

The NYAA is run by a Council of 18 Members. There are currently 4 Council positions available for the 2010 season.  It's time for parents of the Little League players to step up to the plate.  In addition to the 4 open Council Seats, Vice President, Secretary, Refreshment Stand Coordinator, Ways and Means coordinator, Fund Raising Chairman and Equipment coordinators positions are open.  The programs we offer, can only be as good as the people who run them.  We need your help.  Any time you can afford to give the Council is greatly appreciated.  Next Council Meeting is Sunday December 13th at 7 PM in the Council Room.  For more information contact Martha Kelly at  Martha_Kelly@vfc.com

                                LEHIGH VALLEY LITTLE BASEBALL LEAGUE

In 2009, the NYAA has in addition to Little League joined the Lehigh Valley Little Basbeall League. This League runs May 1st to July 1st, plus playoffs and offers us a larger territory base in which to gain players. The League competes with teams from across the Lehigh Valley giving the boys a broader range of competition. Pitching and base distance, and rules are more suited to the ages. In 2009 the NYAA entered a Biddy team (10-Under), which became 2009 Regular Season, and playoff Champions. In 2010, we will enter teams at 10U (Biddy), 12U (Midget) and 14U (Knee Hi).Try outs for 2010 will be held in January. Please contact your perspective coach below to reserve a spot at try outs, or to answer any questions. Players must live in the City of Bethlehem. For more info contact - Jim Koehler at NYAAPA@AOL.COM or 484-256-5697 You can also check out the Lehigh Valley League website at http://www.eteamz.com/lvleague/
