Baseball Scholarship


The scholarship, funded by Northwest Suburban League a non-profit organizaton, honors outstanding high school athletes and provides them with a scholarship toward the college of their choice.  The league launched the baseball scholarship program in the spring of 2002 to honor Ivor James the founder and first president of Northwest Suburban League in 1972. The scholarships will be awarded each year in August and will be between $500 - $1500 per athlete selected by the board of directors.

Qualifications:
1. A senior in high school with a  3.3 overall grade point average or above
2. A plan to attend a college or university within the next two years.
3. Current team member of a Northwest Suburban League Team.
4. Participated 5 years or more on a team in the Northwest Suburban League.

Deadline is last day of June - the application must be postmarked by this date. No phone calls, please. All applicants will receive notification by mail no later than the last day of July. The winners will be publicly recognized at the yearly banquet and via the Northwest Suburban League Site.
