Feel free to email us at: northwoodplainwell@hotmail.com with questions.
All youth baseball coaches and parents have heard about “Little League” elbow. It is not an injury only Little League pitchers develop, but a condition any young kid typically under the age of 14 can develop from overuse or poor mechanics. Watch this video from with a specialist in Youth Sports Medicine Dr. David L. Marshall, Medical Director, Sports Medicine Program, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, which is one of the few programs in the country dedicated to the care of young athletes. Dr. Marshall specializes in the study and treatment of Little League elbows. He is also a dad and coach of a Little League baseball player, so he gets first hand, on the diamond, experience dealing with kids, coaches and parents on this all import youth sports injury. Follow Dr. Marshall’s advice in and avoid having a pin placed in your kid’s elbow! Check out its website for valuable information on Preventing Pediatric Sports Injuries
