Memorial Letter from the Severhofs
Dear Lady Irish members Dec 15, 2004:
Skeeter and Shirley, the founders of The Lady Irish, would like to thank each and everyone of you who attended the funeral of our dear friend, co-worker and President, Jim Wilde, over the last couple of days. His family has received so many wonderful comments, stories, and memories of Jim that have completely filled their hearts and ours too! We last talked to UNCLE JIM a week ago, and now WE BELIEVE that he is up their watching over all of us and helping the girls in heaven playing fastpitch softball!!
It was so amazing to see all the girls, some wearing their uniforms, come thru to see Uncle Jim, his family and the Lady Irish Board. We know Jim touched many lives throughout the last ten years with the Lady Irish and we hope that YOU were one of the fortunate ones whos life he affected. He had a wonderful family to support him and his interests, and the Lady Irish was also his family. We will never find a stronger supporter of girls fastpitch softball than UNCLE JIM. His Mother and Brothers thanked us for giving him this hobby and he loved every minute that he dealt with the Lady Irish. We will really miss him (especially about midnight when he usually calls us on the phone to see what needed to be done!!)
We also want to THANK those who contributed to the JIM P.WILDE MEMORIAL FUND. The fund is set up, with the Wilde family involved, and we will watch it grow for the sole purpose of helping girls fastpitch softball. With this in place, Jim will be able to touch the lives of girls who come in the FUTURE to the Lady Irish. If you know of anyone who is interested in contributing to this Fund, please email Jerry Barron or us for information.
We sincerely appreciate everyone who gave of himself or herself to CELEBRATE THE LIFE OF JIM P. WILDE. UNCLE JIM
