National Women's Indoor Football League
We are excited to announce our opening season this March 28th 2008! All games will be played at the beautiful Olympic Oval in Kearns, Utah! This is the long awaited opportunity for women of all ages to play, coach, and/or officiate full contact football like never before! It doesn't matter if you know the game a little or a lot, or would just like to learn! This is a great opportunity to get in shape, bring your friends and families for some new, fun entertainment, and mostly just to enjoy the experience! As President of the NWIFL, my focus is on being safe, providing a great family environment, and mostly just having a great time! Let's take pride and have fun as we pioneer and blaze the trail for our new National Women's Indoor Football League! As we have been talking and spreading the news of this new league, much excitement and interest is being generated! In fact our parent league, the men's Utah Indoor Football League, is lighting the fires under their wives, sisters, girlfriends, and friends to join! Teams are being put together by some of the team owners in the UIFL. The men already involved in the UIFL are seeing the vision and can see how huge this could be, and are a little concerned that we will have more fans at our games than theirs! Let's show 'em how powerful we can be in our own league, ladies! We love their support and excitement as well! We are gaining media attention and new fans as the snowball builds it's momentum! We are committed to creating a fun, safe, enthusiastic environment for the women who love to play and the family and friends who come to watch and support them. The NWIFL is committed to allowing all women the opportunity to play indoor/arena full contact football. The NWIFL also allows women and men alike the opportunity to coach, manage and even own a football team in order to promote this opportunity for women athletes. The NWIFL will begin March 28th 2008 and we are excited to see rapid growth and expansion as more and more women join us in the sport from around the country! The NWIFL is an organization founded to support the new sport of women's indoor/arena full contact football. The NWIFL enables its teams to function independently, focusing on the sponsorship, development, and ownership of their individual team. The NWIFL is committed to creating the environment for the success of women's indoor/arena football. The NWIFL enables women to play indoor/arena full contact football by supporting the team owners with a stable organization where they can draw on and combine the resources of the NWIFL to promote the women athletes who play football. Northern Utah Avalanche Leading the Way!!! We are pleased and excited to have the Northern Utah Avalanche as our first women's football team in the NWIFL! Thanks for leading the way! This team has been put together by the Northern Utah Vikings...way to go team! The Avalanche behind head coach Max Thomas has already played some exibition games and were very successful. We see this team as the team to beat this year for the NWIFL 2008 Championship. Game on ladies, let's get ready to rumble!!! |
