August 2001
- 8/1 - Dodgers End Up 5th At 2001 CABA World Series
The Dodgers ended their run in the 2001 CABA World Series with a 4-3 10 inning win against the Omaha Pacesetters in 97 degree, very humid heat followed by a 9-0 loss to the Austin Braves from Texas. The first game amounted to what some called "mutual elimination" due to the heat and the length of the game. The Dodgers ended up taking 5th out of 18 of the best teams in the country and Mexico.

The final top 5 were:
1) Woolsey Yankees (Georgia)
2) Burleson Blaze (Texas)
3) Austin Braves (Texas)
4) Dallas Texans (Texas)
5) Northwest Dodgers (Washington)

The players are to be commended for their professional manner both on and off the field. The consistent comment from observers was "wow" when it came to the level of polish with respect to the club's defense. They definetely turned a lot of heads with their defense. Congratulations Dodgers on a great year!!!

March 2001
Dodgers Back From Phoenix!
The Dodgers returned from Phoenix on 3/18. They had a great time, playing 5 games. Many thanks to the the Arizona Landsharks for arranging the games for us. The facilities were excellent and the folks were friendly. The team got some great ball in against some very high quality teams. Games 1 and 5 were particularly exciting, as they played even-up against the Landsharks and the Tucson Wildcats, two of the best 12U teams in the West, leading most of the way but losing 1-0 and 5-3.

December 2000
Welcome to the on-line home of the 2001 Northwest Dodgers! The Dodgers are a team of 12 year olds from the Puget Sound region of Western Washington that will be playing up a year in the Washington State Sandy Koufax Baseball Association 13U league. The league is made up of 24 teams in 3 divisions. The team also plans on playing in selected 13U tournaments around the region and will be traveling to Omaha, Nebraska in late July to participate in the 12U Continental Amateur Baseball Association (CABA) Ultimate World Series. The team is made up of players from Lake Stevens to Des Moines and Kirkland to Seattle. We also have a trio from south Whidbey Island that have to juggle ferries in with their baseball schedule. Please see our schedule for times and places where you can see the Dodgers play.

Stubby returns!
Bill returned on Sunday, 12/10 for the Dodgers practice at Rips. Please join me in welcoming Stubby back and wishing him well. It was nice to have him back chewing some tail and offering his wisdom and motivation once again. Welcome back, Stubby!
