The Dodgers went 5-2 in the tournament, which featured most of the best 14U teams from Texas including the 2001 12U and 2002 13U USSSA Major World Series champion Houston Raiders, who finished 6th. The top 6 were: 1) Louisiana Tigers 2) Houston Banditos 3) Texas Magic 4) Dallas Texans 5) Northwest Dodgers 6) Houston Raiders Congratulations to the Dodgers for a great finish. Thanks to all of the players, coaches and parents that made it a great year as well. 07/24 - Dodgers Win, Face Dallas Texans/Texas Magic Loser The Dodger bats came alive finally at the right time as the Dodgers beat the Liberty, MO White Sox 10-3 in a loser out game. There are 6 teams left in the tournament and the Dodgers will next face the loser of the Dallas Texans/Texas Magic game. The loser of the Houston Raiders/Louisiana Tigers will face the Houston Banditos in the other loser out game tonight. 07/23 - Dodgers Defeat East Texas Astros To Stay Alive The Dodgers defeated the East Texas Astros 13-9 to stay alive in the loser's bracket. Next up will be the Liberty White Sox from Liberty, MO. 07/23 - Dodgers Lose To Louisiana Tigers The Dodgers could manage only 3 hits in an 8-0 loss against a good Louisiana Tigers team. This drops the Dodgers into the loser's bracket. They will play at 7:00 tonight against the winner of the Lincoln Force/East Texas Astros game. 07/22 - Dodgers Beat OKC Heat 15-0, Louisiana Tigers Up Next The Dodgers beat the Oklahoma City Heat 15-0 in a 3 inning run-rule shortened game today. Next up are the Louisiana Tigers from Baton Rouge at 12:15 tomorrow. Check back for updates. 07/21 - Dodgers Win Both Pool Games, Earn #2 Seed Overall The Dodgers won both pool games today defeating the Taylor Ranch Pirates from Albuquerque, NM 10-1 and the East Texas Sun Devils from Beaumont, TX 4-3. The Dodgers won the #2 seed into bracket play based on runs allowed and will play the Oklahoma City Heat tomorrow at 2:15. Way to go Dodgers!! 07/20 - Dodgers Open USSSA Pool Play Tomorrow The Dodgers will open pool play tomorrow with two games. The first is at 2:30 against the Taylor Ranch Pirates. The second is at 7:00 against the East Texas Sun Devils. Thankfully, tomorrow we're due for a cold wave with a high forecast at 101. Today's high was 108. Check back to see how things have gone. 07/11 - Dodgers Win First Game Of State Tournament The Dodgers defeated the Seattle Rainiers 8-5 in the opening game of the 2003 Sandy Koufax state tournament. Next up for the Dodgers will be at 5:00PM 7/12 against the winner of the Seattle Stars and Redmond Select. 07/11 - Dodgers To Leave For Oklahoma Friday The Dodgers will be leaving for Norman, OK on Friday, 7/18 where they will compete in the USSSA Major 14U World Series from 7/20 to 7/27. The Dodgers are shooting on improving on their 5th place CABA finish in Omaha as 12 year olds in 2001 and 3rd place CABA finish in Tulsa as 13 year olds in 2002. Good luck Dodgers!! Check back for updates. 07/08 - Coach Gift Presentation Following 7/15 Game Please make time to stick around after our 7/15 game for a presentation of gifts to our coaches. They work hard and have done a great job this year. Come join us in recognizing their significant contributions to our club. 05/04 - Dodgers Win Two, Lose One Over Weekend The Dodgers won 2 and lost one over the weekend. Saturday saw them beating the West Seattle Pilots 11-3 at Lower Woodland. Sunday had the Dodgers in the South Sound losing a close game to the Northwest Timberjacks 3-2 in the first game. The second game had them beating the Tacoma Cubs 23-0 at Wilson High School. 04/27 - Dodgers Win Kitsap Early Bird The Dodgers came up big over the weekend going 6-0 to win the Kitsap Early Bird 14U tournament. The Dodgers bats and pitching were on display all weekend as they outscored their opponents 69-6! Way to go Dodgers!! Special mention goes to Jordan Johnson who threw the second no-hitter in Dodgers history in the tournament. Way to go Jordan! 04/24 - Reminder Of What To Bring To Brermerton Please make sure and bring *all* uniform items (including t-shirts) to the tournament in Bremerton. If we play a large number of games on Sunday, we may shed our blue jerseys in favor of a t-shirt. 04/19 - Dodgers Win Second Of Season The Dodgers won their second league game in as many tries, defeating the Northwest Timberjacks 13-3 in a 5 inning game. The Dodgers exploded for 5 runs in both the second and the fifth. Good job Dodgers!! 04/12 - Dodgers Win Season Opener The Dodgers won their 2003 Koufax season opener, defeating the Seattle Rainiers 11-1 in a 5 inning affair at Denny field. Way to go Dodgers! Tomorrow they have the Seattle Stars at Hamlin 1. 03/31 - Dodgers 2003 WSSKBA Schedule Posted The 2003 league schedule is now online!! Wooohooo!! Please try and refrain from printing out the schedule and using that copy as the truth, as things can change and the website is the only truth. At least always make sure and check it against the web occaisionally. 03/31 - What To Take To Phoenix The Dodgers are expected to take *all* uniform items to Phoenix for the upcoming tournament. Please make sure and not forget anything. 03/26 - Dodgers To Play In Tournament Saturday, 3/29 The Dodgers' game with the Issaquah Bears has been cancelled. The Dodgers will play two games Saturday, 3/29 in a tournament at North Sea-Tac instead. 03/20 - 3/20 Practice Rained Out 3/20 Practice Rained Out 03/14 - Saturday Game Cancelled The Saturday, 3/14 practice game with the Newport Knights is cancelled. In its place we will be playing in Aaron Horrocks' tournament at North Sea-Tac. See below for the schedule. The game format is as in the past with 1 hour 30 minute games with the batter starting with a 1 and 1 count. Bring warm clothes. Click through the game link for the uniform to wear. 3/13 - 3/13 Practice Rained Out 3/13 Practice Rained Out 03/08 - Sunday Practice Moved To Seattle University The Sunday practice scheduled for 1 to 4PM at Rainier 1 has been cancelled. The Dodgers will practice indoors at Seattle University from 6:30PM to 8:30PM instead. Please arrive no later than 6:15. 03/03 - Complete March Schedule Posted Please check under the "Practice Schedule" and "Game Schedule" links for dates/times the Dodgers will be practicing and playing in March.
