NVSC is currently offering the following Adult Recreational programs:

Men’s 30+ 7v7 Division  

Session 1: Starts February 27, 2013. Estimated completion date is May 3, 2013
Session 2: Starts May 15, 2013. Estimated completion date is July 18, 2013

(No games the week of 4th of July)
Session 3: Starts July 31, 2013. Estimated completion date is September 26, 2013
Session 4: Starts October 9, 2013. Estimated completion date is December 12, 2013

(No games the week of Thanksgiving)

 

This division is open to men 30 years of age and over. We have two divisions in this league with one division playing on Wednesday and the other playing on Thursday at the Hellwig Turf field (http://www.novasc.org/field/273295.html).

All games are played short-sided with 2 games playing simultaneously. Kickoff begins at 8:35 or 9:35. Games last for 50 minutes with a 2-5 minute half time. Each team will play 7-8 games a season over 8-9 weeks. There is no end of season tournament in this division. We intend to hold sessions year-round, with the exception of winter, if we have enough teams interested.

Captains are responsible for the management as well as setting the roster for their team. I cannot guarantee placement on a team but encourage that you register online (http://www.novasc.org/olr/index_E.html). As this is a new league we should have plenty of room for those of you who register early. Under special request please put “Waitlist.” You will be placed on a team in order of registration. If you have already spoken with a captain please put the team name under special requests.

We are looking for captains to assist in putting together a team for both the Wednesday & Thursday Night Division. If you would to start a new team please let me know. We will work with you on becoming a Captain. As a Captain you play free but would be responsible for the management of your team. Each team must consist of a minimum of 9 players and a maximum of 13 players. We have two Captain Meetings a season one about 2 weeks before the season and one meeting at the end of the season.

A copy of the bylaws can be found under "Bylaws & Forms". The bylaws provide a detailed list of rules governing play. There may be a few minor changes to these rules prior to the start of the season.

Cost is $80/player.

 
Coed 18+ 7v7 Division

Please note that a minimum of 2 women must be on the field at all times or the team must play down. Each team will play 7-8 games a season over 8-10 weeks. Coed 18+ 11v11 Division

Spring Season: Starts the weekend of March 30, 2013. (The league will not play Easter and Memorial Day weekends) Estimated completion date is the

Fall Season: Starts the weekend of September 7, 2013. (The league will not play Columbus Day weekend). Estimated completion date is the mid-late November.

This division is open to both men and women 18 years of age or over. The games are played on Saturdays and Sundays at Valley View (http://www.novasc.org/field/197512.html). Games last for 90 minutes with a 5 minute half time. Teams will play 6-7 games plus an end-of-season tournament. Kickoff time vary between 9am – 5pm.

Because this is a Coed Division we require 4 women on the field unless both teams agree to play with 3 women before the start of the game.

Early registrations is $80/player prior, after early registration there a $15 late registration fee applies (Deadlines are listed on the registration site).
