Team Party
The Rude's will be hosting our end of the season get together again this year. It will take place on Sunday March 12 after our ice slot (game or practice) for that day. More details to follow

Frederick Game...Make Up Date
The CBHL has decreed that our make up game with Frederick will be played on Tuesday February 28 at 715pm at Mt Vernon. Schedules have been updated

Practice Schedule...Rest of Season
We will be dropping our Thursday practices at Ft Dupont effective immediately. A number of issues have factored into this decision: the Navy team has a make up game this week, most of the boys will be starting spring sports, and the Ft Dupont contract runs out. It's important that the kids make the Tuesday sessions to maintain their hockey fitness.

Schedule Changes...Updated AGAIN
-There will be NO practice Thursday February 9 or Tuesday February 14
-We have added a second game in Peninsula on Feb 26 (11am) to replace the Hampton game
-We have been accepted into Bowie's Presidents day weekend tournament.Tournament schedule is posted
-We have commited to an end of the season tournament in Florida (Orlando area) March 17-19.

Presidents Day Tournament Schedule
The Bowie tournament schedule has been released.The Dawgs open up on Saturday afternoon versus the Suffolk (NY) Knights followed later that night by a contest against Peninsula. There are six teams at Midget U18A divided into two three team brackets: (NVHC, Suffolk, Peninsula) (Bowie, Metro, LA Jr Kings).The third place teams play each other on Sunday at 620pm. The second place team plays at 745pm in one semifinal,while the first place team plays at 915pm in the other semifinal. The championship game is on Monday at noon.

The Club will be conducting picture night during our regulary scheduled practice slot on January 31, from 700pm-845pm at Mt Vernon. Please make every effort to attend.

The Road Warriors Finally Return Home
The Ice Dawgs have completed a recent seven game road trip that took them through three states:win in Prince William;won three of four in York Pa;and a loss in Frederick Md. This on the heals of a six game trip (four wins,two losses) with a two game homestand (consectutive league wins over NVHC and PWHC) sandwiched in between.In all,the Dawgs have played thirteen of their first seventeen games away from home. A record of ten wins and seven losses looks pretty good considering the grinding schedule and rash of injuries.

Mt Lebanon (Pa) Classic Tournament Schedule Released
Our upcoming trip to Pittsburgh will see us play two games on Saturday,January 14; one on Sunday, January 15th; and (hopefully) one on Monday, January 16th. Check out the Schedules link for more details.
Dawgs Drop Championship Game
The Ice Dawgs headed into York Pa for a Thanksgiving clash looking to build upon their recent string of success. NVHC opened the tournament with a 6-3 win over the host Devils. The Nassau (NY) Lions presented a challenge for our second game,late Friday night. The Dawgs prevailed in a tight contest,4-2. The Metro Leafs were the next team to fall as NVHC shut out their CBHL rivals 4-0. Two more injuries left the Dawgs limping into the championship game against Nassau with only ten skaters. The Lions won a close game,3-1,despite a character-testing effort from NVHC.

Thanksgiving Tournament Schedule
The game schedule for the upcoming Thanksgiving tournament in York Pa has been released. The Dawgs will open up against the host York Devils followed by a second game later Friday night versus the Lions from Nassau NY. The round robin format concludes on Saturday as NVHC plays their CBHL rivals,Metro. Hopefully a spot in the finals on Sunday will include the Dawgs. Specifics are posted in Schedules.
