NVGSA is a non-profit, ALL volunteer organization devoted exclusively to Fastpitch Softball for girls.

NVGSA is extremely proud of all of our girls!!

Our girls have fun as they learn skills and develop respect, teamwork, and leadership - all

in the spirit of sportsmanship.

NVGSA offers both House and Select levels of play for girls ages 5 to 18.

The NVGSA championship tournament schedules are listed below. Click on the appropriate schedule to download the latest updated schedule (so long as scores are provided, schedules will be updated nightly throughout the tournament). Each schedule gaurantees at least 2 games per team, weather permitting. If you have any questions regarding the schedule(s), please contact the appropriate commissioner.

10U NVGSA Parents,

Each summer NVGSA puts together teams that play in the Fairfax County Summer League (http://fcgsl.org/). The league runs from late June through July. Teams play a double header once a week (Mon.-Thu.) for six weeks (12 games total). The teams in the league are above 'house' level teams -- some teams are Travel/Select teams. If your daughter is interested in playing this summer, you need to contact your age-level commission by 5:00 PM on Friday, June 1st (see below for contact information). We apologize for the short notice about the summer program.

We also need coaches to volunteer to run the teams. If we don't get a head coach at a particular level, we won't field a team. You do not have to have been a coach this spring to coach a summer team.

Participating in the summer league requires a higher level of commitment.

Here are some guidelines to consider before committing to the program:

1) Teams will carry 11 to 14 players

2) If you will miss two or more weeks, you should not participate

3) Because of the higher level of play, your daughter should be(talent-wise) in the upper half of your springteam and better still, one of the top three players

4) There will be a try-out

5) Usually the teams will get together for a few practices before the season starts and then just play games after the beginning of the season. Some teams elect to practice during the season, but not all.

6) Cost will be $50 - $70 per player, depending on the number of players per team

7) Game Dates: Games start around June 20 and end the last week in July. Game times are in the evenings.
- 10u and 14u teams will play on Tuesdays or Thursdays
- 12u teams will play on Mondays or Wednesdays
- 16u and 18u teams will play on Wednesdays

14U Summer League Play - Need Some More Softball???

14U Summer Softball - Coach John Cooley wants to put a 14U team in the Fairfax County Girl's Softball Summer League. The level of competition is much higher than our house league since we'll play area travel and select teams. In fact we will enter as a Class C travel team and may also play local weekend tournaments. For the summer league, we'll play a double header once or twice each week usually on a weeknight. We're looking for gifted and devoted ball players 14 and under as of 1 January 2012. Cost per player is $50 - 75.00. Roster has to be turned in to FCGSL by 4 June so respond asap.

Rumor is that opening day 2012 for NVGSA was the best one yet!
