We are a non-profit, volunteer organization that is devoted exclusively to Fastpitch Softball for girls!  We are proud of our girls!!  We all have fun as they learn skills and develop respect, teamwork, and leadership as our motto signifies.  NVGSA offers both House League and Select levels of play for girls ages 5 to 18.  For details on our house development league, see our Frequently Asked Questions and Why NVGSA sections below.

The Fairfax Firebirds and Dimensions Fastpitch select softball teams will be holding try-outs on August 16th, 20th and 23rd.  Please monitor this web-site for try-out locations and times for each age group.

The 10U Firebirds completed their 2008 Spring/Summer FCGSL Metro Select/Travel season with two more victories on Tuesday finishing their season with an overall win loss record of 20 and 2 in what is their first full year after being reformed following a 3 year absence from select/travel softball.  These 20 wins include big wins over perennial favorites: the SYA Xplosion, the McLean Mystics and the Mt. Vernon Magic.   Additional accomplishments by the 10U Firebirds during the 2008 spring/summer season include three no hitters, two comeback from behind victories in their last at bat, a second place finish in the Faquier Freeze Summer Ice Down Softball Tournament in Warrenton, VA and a third place finish in the NSA Cash Bash Softball Tournament in Richmond, VA.  Earlier this year the National Softball Association ranked the 10U Firebirds tenth in the state of Virginia.   The 10U Firebirds will play in one more tournament this spring/summer season in Ashburn, VA before focusing their attention on the upcoming 2008 fall season begining with tryouts in mid to late August.  Anyone wanting additional information regarding tryouts or current openings should contact 10U Firebirds Co-Head Coach Randy Yates at (703)963-2450 or yatesmmf@aol.com.
