May 26th game summary

Minor BB - NTLL Marlins 10-0 over Dade City. A Strong 1-hit pitching performance by Conor Grady led the Marlins to victory. Gerry Borelli hit a 3-run inside the park Home Run to put the team up 6-0. Kyle Fontenot, Ricardo Viloria and Spencer McCabe had 2 RBI's each to help pace the offense. 

Senior SB - NTLL Bandits 11-1 over North Seminole Pirates.  Ashley Wilson went 3 for 3 with a double, single and over the fence home run!  Behind the plate Ashley threw out three runners trying to steal 2B. Jordan Brett and Syd Boynton allowed just two hits in the 5 inning game.

May 27th game summary

Senior SB - NTLL Bandits 10-5 over Land O Lakes Gators.  Trailing the entire game NT erupted for seven runs in the 6th inning on inside the park home run by Ashley Wilson, a clutch double from Emani Mays and singles by Syd Boyton, Jessica Goldin and Marissa Velez.  Boynton pitched the complete game win scattering 5 hits.  

Major SB - NTLL Force 20-3 over Zephyrhills. The New Tampa Maj SB Force came out swinging early with a 20 - 3 win in 4 innings against Zephyrhills coupled with stellar defensive play from their Catcher and Left Fielder. The Force defense was strong in the infield, led by Alexis Salamin at 3B, Monica Moore at SS with clutch plays. Haley Hawkins was again tough at 1B, with 5 unassisted put outs. Kallie Golicher continued solid play behind the dish, with Kam Beach (1) , Trystan Riebsome (1) and Jenna Widell (2) pitching solid from the hill. Offensive spark was led by Alyssa Wash and Skyler Boynton with 3 RBI's each, and Gabby Jacobs, Riebsome, Boynton, and Widell with 2 hits each. 

Minor SB - NTLL Thunder 16-0 over Dade City. Ashlee Markovitz pitched the complete game shutout.  NT Catcher Gracie Seidl threw two runners out attempting to steal.  Key hits in teh game from Abrianna Weissman, Amanda Dioguardi and Seidl.

Major BB - NTLL Dodgers lost 7-9 to Zephyrhills.  For NTLL Ethan Thomas was 4 for 4 with 4 doubles. The Dogers fell behind 9-3 in the 6th inning and rallied behind base hits by Brendan Ina, Matthew Tonelli, Ethan Thomas and Mason Strickland to almost complete a comeback, but fell short 9-7.   The team started slowly and couldn’t rebound in time.

Senior BB - NTLL Yankees 10-0 over LOL. Shaun Rubin & Chris Blatz  pitched 5 shut out innings allowing only 5 hits and one walk.  We had 7 hits total.  Chris Blatz had a 2 run HR.   Defensively we had 7 fly ball outs so LOL made it easy for us.  

May 28th game summary

Major SB - NTLL Force 3-0 over Land O Lakes.  The Force relied on strong pitching and defense, to win vs. Land O Lakes Bruins and advance to the Championship round, 3 - 0.Trystan Riebsome led the Force on Defense with 4 great assists at SS, and went 3-3 with 2 RBI's at the plate. Kam Beach went the distance on the mound with 7 strikeouts.Kallie Golicher was strong again behind the plate, and also started the scoring with a single to left in the 5th inning.. Monica Moore, followed with a clutch bunt. The runners were driven in by Riebsome, who was driven in by Beach and Skyler Boynton. The New Tampa Offense was also sparked by key sac bunts from Alexis Salamin and Gabby Jacobs. Defense was led again by strong play at 1B from Haley Hawkins, assists at 3B from Jenna Widell, LF Alyssa Wash. Great rotations and back ups from Abby DeLisle at 2B and CF Mollie Golicher.

Minor BB - NTLL Marlins 10-0 over N. Seminole. Henry Havre, Gerry Borelli, Spencer McCabe and Nick Decker pitched outstanding and combined for a 1-hit shut out. Spencer McCabe went 2 for 2 with a double, 2 runs scored and 3 RBI. Conor Grady went 2 for 2 as well with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Nick Decker had a key 2 out single as well to help pace the offense. The defense was solid as this was a complete TEAM victory.

Junior BB - NTLL Marlins lost 1-9 to Land O Lakes. Despite a complete game pitching effort from Zack Zaversnik, NTLL's hitting and defense had off nights. The Marlins could only produce five singles, one a piece from Daniel Saez, Tristun Deluna, Josh Castillo, Kade Archer and James Roll.

 May 29th game summary

Major BB - NTLL Dodgers 7-5 over Lutz. Ethan Thomas hit a two run home run to give the Dodgers an early lead which lasted into the 5th inning. A strong pitching effort into the fifth inning by Mason Strickland had the Dodgers leading 3-2.   Lutz managed to take the lead in the fifth inning with a couple of big hits and led 5-3 going into the top of the sixth inning.  Ricky Condon, Matt Tonelli and Omar Delgado reached base in the top of the sixth and then Daniel Stein hit a huge double to tie the game 5-5.  The Dodgers added the go ahead run by a sacrifice and then added an insurance run as Brendan Ina hit a ground ball to the right side to advance the runner home from third to give the Dodgers a 7-5 lead.  Ethan Thomas and Derek Moore wrapped up the pitching by shutting Lutz down in the bottom of the sixth inning to secure the Dodgers win.  Andrew Werner, Jeremy Cruz, Alex Beyerent played their usual good defense and Justin Mackler had a great game behind the plate. 

Senior SB - NTLL Bandits 5-3 over Dade City Phillies.  Down 0-3 going into the 5th Jordan Brett drew a walk and Syd Boynton and Ashley Wilson followed with hits.  With the bases loaded Emani Mays, Jessica Goldin, Alyson Condon and Taylor Murphy each drove in a run to take the lead.  In the 6th Emani Mays add a clutch two out rbi single to score an insurance run.  Jordan Brett shutout the DC team for the first three innings.  With bases loaded and no outs in the 3rd Jordan managed three infield fly balls to get out of the jam. Syd Boynton had 5 strikouts and four assists in the final 4 innings.  Taylor Gaias has a great catch in CF to start the game.

May 30th game summary

Senior BB - NTLL Yankees 7-1 over Zephryhills.

Minor SB - NTLL Thunder lost 6-10 to LOL in eight innings.

Major BB - NTLL Dodgers 3-2 over Zephyrhills. Dodgers picked up two runs in the 4th inning with a walk and hits from  Ricky Condon, Brendan Ina and Matt Tonelli.  Dodgers led 2-0  going into the sixth inning as Ethan Thomas had a great pitching outing and was supported by some good defense as the outfield of Beyerent, Delgado, Werner, Cruz, Mackler, and Tonelli caught everything hit their way.  Zephyrhills managed to push across one run in the sixth and then Derek Moore came on to pitch the remainder of the sixth inning.  Zephyrhills scored another run to tie the game and after an intentional walk, the bases were loaded, in the bottom of the sixth,  with no outs and the winning run on third.  With the infield playing in, Moore got two ground ball force outs at home and a strikeout to end the inning and send the game to a seventh inning.  Thomas led off the 7th with a triple and Strickland singled him home giving the Dodgers a 3-2 lead.  Derek Moore then pitched a solid 7th inning allowing no runs and Daniel Stein made two plays at second to secure the Dodgers victory. 

Junior BB - NTLL Marlins 7-5 over Temple Terrace. With solid pitching from Tristan Deluna and Ryan Lawson the Marlins pulled out a come from behind victory. Trailing 5-3 in the sixth inning with two outs and two runners on base, the Marlins got a triple from Lawson and a double from Zack Zaversnik to take the lead 6-5. NTLL added an insurance run in the 7th with hits by Deluna and Andres Saez. Daniel Saez, Anthony Parrino, and Jared Huff also added hits for the Marlins.

June 1st game summary

Senior BB - NTLL Yankees 16-5 over LOL.

Minor SB - NTLL Thunder 13-3 over ZH. 6 strong innings on the mound from Gracie Seidl notching 12 strike outs, Makenna Jones 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, single, Ashlee Markovitz was 2 for 3 with a ground rule double over the fence, Dominique Harrell 2 for 2, Kayla Prisco made 2 great defensive plays, Abrianna Weissman had a sac bunt and great defensive play after being hit by ball to make play at first. Great base running in the 5th inning for a big 7 run inning.

Minor BB - NTLL Marlins lost 8-14 to Lutz.  With the game tied 5-5 in the top of the 5th and 2 outs the Lutz bats came alive and scored 5 runs followed by 4 more in the sixth. Spencer McCabe pitched into the 5th inning striking out 6 and giving up just 2 singles. 5 Marlins errors helped give Lutz a 5-2 lead before the Marlins stormed back to tie the game in the bottom of the 4th. Noah Ford went 2-3 with 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored while just missing a Home Run that bounced off the top of the center field fence. Conor Grady had 2 hits and Ricardo Viloria scored 2 runs.

Major BB - NTLL Dodgers 19-2 over North Seminole.  Grand slam homeruns by Mason Strickland and Derek Moore highlighted a great offensive performance.  Brendan Ina contributed with three hits and Ethan Thomas added two hits.  Ricky Condon and Daniel Stein handled the pitching duties tonight and got great defensive support from the usual cast of Jeremy Cruz, Justin Mackler, Andrew Werner, Alex Beyrent, Matt Tonelli and Omar Delgado.

Junior BB - NTLL Marlins lost 11-13 to Lutz.

Senior SB - NTLL Bandits lost 7-8 to LOL.  The Bandits couldn't hold the 7-3 lead as LOL scored 4 runs in the 6th. Jordan Brett had 3 hits while Ashley Wilson stroked two doubles while Emani Mays and Jessica Golden each added two hits.

Major SB - NTLL Force lost 4-5 to LOL.  The Force suffered a setback in their quest for the TOC Championship vs Land O Lakes Bruins,....despite taking a 4 - 1 lead into the 5th innning, the Force lost 5-4. Mental and physical errors on the defensive side, loaded the bases with no outs, and LOL scorched a triple to right-center, clearing the bases. Trystan Riebsome (2 RBI's, 2 runs scored) and Jenna Widell (1 RBI, 1 run scored)  led the offense for New Tampa with a pair of hits each. Kam Beach went wire to wire on the hill. On Defense, Kallie Golicher threw out one runner stealing at second, and delivered an assist to Beach on a wild pitch, to get the runner at home to keep the game within 1 run. Monica Moore, Skyler Boynton, Haley Hawkins, Beach and Golicher all had hits for the Force, but could not score any more runs, stranding 10 runners on the bases throughout the game.

 June 2nd game summary

Senior BB, Minor BB, Senior SB, Major SB and Minor SB all rained out.

Major BB - NTLL Dodgers 13-8 over Temple Terrace.  Resilient Dodger team finally took the lead for good in the bottom of the fourth inning after trailing and rallying back from 2 and 3 run deficits in the first four innings.  Justin Mackler got the Dodgers on the board in the second inning with a 2 run double after singles from Brendan Ina and Matt Tonelli.  The Dodgers added 2 runs in the third inning as a Ricky Condon single drove in two runs and then added 6 more runs in the fourth aided by a big hit from Omar Delgado as he crushed a double in the left field corner which was followed by a single from Daniel Stein.  Derek Moore pitched a great 4 2/3 innings and Ethan Thomas closed out the game.  Mason Strickland and Ethan Thomas had three hits each and led a 14 hit offensive performance.  Defense was solid again with the outfield of Andrew Werner, Alex Beyrent, Omar Delgado, Justin Mackler getting lots of chances.

June 3rd game summary

Minor BB - NTLL Marlins lead Land O' Lakes 7-2 - Game suspended due to rain - With the Marlins leading 7-2 after 3 innings the rain came and washed out the game. Gerry Borelli pitched lights out giving up just 2 hits while striking out 5 in 3 innings. Solid defense by Kyle Fontenot, Ricardo Viloria and Zack Belusic. Kyle Fontenot and Ricardo Viloria scored 2 runs each and Noah Ford had a key 2 run double. Spencer McCabe added a sacrifice fly while playing solid behind the plate. The game will resume at 6:00 pm Thursday with the winner facing Lutz immediately after in the championship game.
Senior BB game suspended vs Lutz, down 2-5 in bottom of 3rd.  Chris Blatz belted a two run homer.  His second of the tournament.  Game will be resumed June 4th 6:30pm at Temple Terrace. 

Major BB - NTLL Dodgers lost 2-12  to Temple Terrace.  Dodgers faced an excellent Temple Terrace pitcher and despite having some good chances, were only able to score 2 runs.  Terrifc run by the Dodgers to come out of the losers bracket and force a second championship game. Runner Up Champions. Well done! 

Senior SB - NTLL Bandits 10-1 over LOL.  Champions!  Syd Boynton pitched a complete game victory striking out 13 and scattering 7 hits over the 7 inning game. Jordan Brett went 3 for 4.  Ashley Booth had a big at bat that started the Bandits rally and finished the big inning with a clutch rbi single. Brooke Gaias ripped a two run double and Ashley Wilson ripped two singles.

Major SB - NTLL Force 10-6 over LOL Bruins. Champions!  Alexis Salamin, Trystan Riebsome and Kallie Golicher drove in 2 runs each, with Monica Moore, Gabby Jacobs, Skyler Boynton, Haley Hawkins, Kam Beach, Riebsome and Salamin each with 2 hits,...Jenna Widell and Mollie Golicher with one apiece. Jenna Widell and Kam Beach handled the pitching, with defensive support at 2B from Alyssa Wash on 2 hot grounders and bunt rotation, OF support and backup from Abby Delisle, rounded out a "team" contribution from each player. The team has continued to progress from its beginning practice in January, and learned the value of focus, and the 1' degree of extra effort to achieve goals...on and off the field. 212' !!!!

Minor SB - NTLL Thunder lost 3-5 to LOL.  Runner Up Champions. 

June 4th Summary

Minor BB - NTLL Marlins over Land O' Lakes 10-5 in the completion of suspended game -  Nick Decker took the mound in the resumption of yesterdays suspended game and pitched a gem. He pitched the final 3 innings and struck out the final 3 batters. Conor Grady had 2 hits with a double and 2 RBI's. Spencer McCabe, Nick Decker and Gerry Borelli had key hits that helped send the Marlins into the Championship game.
Minor BB - NTLL Marlins over Lutz 4-2 - Spencer McCabe pitched a phenomenal game! With the Marlins up 4-0 he carried a no hitter into the 6th inning with 8 strike outs before the resilient Lutz team finally broke through with 3 straight hits in the top of the 6th to cut the lead to 4-2. Conor Grady came in and struck out the next 3 batters to seal the victory for the Marlins. Noah Ford went 2-3 with a triple and 3 RBI's while Conor Grady and Ricardo Viloria combined to reach base 6 times and scored 3 runs. The defense was on their game all night as the Marlins pull out the victory in the first Championship game and force the "IF" game Friday night.
Senior BB - NTLL Yankees over Lutz in a rain shortened 5 inning game.  That was a come from behind victory to put them in the Championship Game.

June 5th Summary

Minor BB - NTLL Marlins lost 11-24 to Lutz - With the Marlins leading 5-4 in the top of the 5th inning and only 6 outs away from the win, the team ran out of pitching and committed 8 errors in the final 2 innings. The tough Marlins team were lead by Noah Ford who went 2-2 with a triple, Home Run and pitched 2 solid innings. Ricardo Viloria also had 2 hits, 2 runs scored and played super defense. Spencer McCabe, Henry Havre, Gerry Borelli, Nick Decker, Kyle Fontenot and Zack Belusic also had RBI's. Tremendous effort by the Marlins who fought hard to the end and forced the "IF" championship game after defeating Lutz the previous night. Congrats to the Minor BB 2009 T.O.C. Runner up Champions!!
Senior BB - NTLL Yankees lost 6-10 to North Seminole.
