North Tonawanda Lumberjacks Basketball: Varick Cutler Cornerstone Award
In 2011, the North Tonawanda Basketball Hall of Fame began a new tradition with the creation of the Varick Cutler Cornerstone Award. This prestigious award bears the name of the late Varick Cutler, arguably the greatest basketball player to ever come through North Tonawanda, who was enshrined in the North Tonawanda Athletic Wall of Fame in 1997 as well as being an inaugural inductee of the North Tonawanda Basketball Hall of Fame in 2005. The award is intended to pay tribute to an individual who goes above and beyond the call of duty to allow the North Tonawanda Basketball Program to flourish.
