Volunteer Coaches Wanted - No Experience Necessary! Coaching at the Northshore YMCA is not about developing a winning team. It is about developing a winning child. We do not keep score and we do not stress WIN. We do stress team work and individual development. We also stress sportsmanship and most of all FUN! Volunteer coaches are the heart and soul of our league. It is the coach that has the most contact with the players, and it is the coach that will help the children form their opinions of basketball and sports in general. It is an awesome responsibility, but incredibly rewarding.
