Welcome to the North Suburban Slammers Web site. The North Suburban Slammers began play during 2001 with six teams at four different age levels. This effort is a joint venture of the softball programs of Skokie, Lincolnwood, and Morton Grove, but players from other communities are welcome to participate. Wednesday, July 8

2009 Slammers Splash July 17-19 Click the handout link below to get copies of schedules and rules for all age divisions. For locations of all parks, click the Locations link on the left navigator. It is our intention to have seedings posted for Sunday's championship round no later than 8:00pm Saturday evening for all divisions. Additionally, an email with seedings will be sent to coaches after the seedings have been posted on the website. Please note that ALL divisions will begin championship round play at 9:00am Sunday morning. If time permits, we will also post results intermittently throughout the day on Friday and Saturday. 10U Slammers Take Second in Evanston Express Tournament
The North Suburban Slammers 10U softball team, comprised entirely of
first-year players, took second place in its very first tournament, the
Evanston Express Memorial Day Classic held at James Park.
Rebounding from a 17-0 defeat in their first-ever tourney experience at
the hands of the Sauganash Storm Friday evening, the Slammers rallied
vs the same Storm squad in the championship game Sunday with 5 runs in
the last inning only to fall short, 10-8.
Between those games were wins over the Barrington Mustangs (16-0) and
Glenview Titans twice (13-10 and 11-9). The Slammers also jumped ahead
of the Grant Jr. Dawgs only to lose to the time limit and the Dawgs
when the score reverted to the previous inning.
Key contributors all weekend included Adella Moss, Gina Loy, Jackie
Ehrlich and Juliana Livieri (all from Skokie); Kari Katz (Morton
Grove); Caroline Job, Danni Strejc, Elisa Nettesheim and Meg Eisfelder
(all from Evanston); Brooke Berceau (Wilmette), and Tara Nikolich
(Chicago).

Come and enjoy softball, swimming and water slide fun at one of the most popular tournaments in the Chicago area! This “B” level tournament will feature competition at the 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U age levels. All players and coaches will receive free passes to the Skokie Water Playground. Team trophies and individual awards will be presented to the first-, second- and third-place finishers in each division. Concession stands and Splash T-shirts also will be available. The tournament’s well maintained softball diamonds are located just north of Chicago, only a short ride away from the beaches of Lake Michigan, the stores, shows and museums of downtown Chicago, and major league baseball games at Wrigley Field and U.S. Cellular Field. The 2009 Slammers Splash is limited to 12 teams in the 10U division, 12 teams in the 12U division, 18 teams in the 14U division, and eight teams in the 16U division.
