FYI: TWINS WINTER SKILLS AND CONDITIONING
The North Shore Twins will start their annual Winter Skills and Conditioning Sessions at The Ballpark Training Center in Richmond. (150-5731 Miniru Blvd.). There is no pre-registration...just show up ready to go. Any questions you may have can be addressed by the coaches and mangers before or after the sessions.The sessions are an important part of our 2009 lead-up activities and are an important part of our roster selection process. If you expect to earn a place on any of our spring rosters (Premier, Junior or Prep) you need to plan to make it to at least 50% of these sessions.
The Richmond sessions are Saturdays and Sundays beginning on Saturday the 6th of December and running into the early days of March. There will be the odd date during the Christmas period when we will not work out. Prep/Junior will start at 8:00am and end at 10:00am……Junior/Premier will go from 10:00am until noon. We are attempting to arrange a mid-week session in a gym on the North Shore and will announce that when arrangements are complete.
Players should arrive with running shoes, shorts or sweatpants, t-shirt or sweatshirt, their glove and a hat. Those players having Twins workout clothing are expected to wear them (we do want to look like a team). Please bring an additional long sleeve shirt so you can slip into something dry and warm at the end of the session. Weather depending, we will occasionally make a run to Minoru Park so a windbreaker would also be a good idea. Pitchers need to bring cleats as we do pitch of the indoor mounds.
Fees for this year are $325, and payable after your second session…there is no half session option this year. In addition to quality skills and conditioning instruction, you will receive a Mizuno dry fit jersey and new players will get a pair of Mizuno shorts. SEE YOU ON SATURDAY December 6th.
