Play Ball!
North Story County Little League is a baseball program for kids aged 9-16 in the Roland-Story, Gilbert, South Hamilton, Nevada, and Colo-Nesco school districts.
The 2012 Schedule has been released. The official schedule will be kept here. It will be "live" for all changes that have been received by the webmaster. Any changes must go through the local lead(s), and include arranging and notifying umpires. Check back often as the schedule is sometimes changed. HERE is the 2012 Schedule.
Scores and standings can be found on the links to the left. Coaches, please send in scores to northstorybaseball@yahoo.com. If you have an interest in umpiring, contact the league at the same email address. Umpires, depending on the city, are paid around $25 per game.
PARENTS! Here is a link showing legal bats to use in Little League. This will help in your purchasing decisions.
HERE is the Roland-Story based practice schedule. It is general reservation by team, not a guarantee that there is practice on a given day/time.
Want to improve scheduling and practice space? New fields being built in Roland! Click Here to learn more about Britson Park & Athletic Complex. If funds can be raised, we will be playing there in the spring of 2013.
Here are the approved NSCLL rules for 2012. Definitions: Minors 9-10s, Majors 11-12s, Juniors 13-14s
The visiting team in all divisions will have the field for infield practice from 20 minutes to 10 minutes prior to game time. The home team will have the field for infield practice from 10 minutes prior, to actual game time. When there is a following game, its official start time will be the scheduled time, or one half hour following the preceding game, whichever is later.
Minors: No inning may start in a Minors game after 1.5 hours from first pitch. Games will have a hard stop at 2 hours. SEE EXCEPTION BELOW.
Majors and Juniors: No inning may start in a majors or juniors game after 2 hours from first pitch. Games will have a hard stop at 2.5 hours. SEE EXCEPTION BELOW.
EXCEPTION: If the score is tied after the "no inning may start" time, play may continue in an attempt to break the tie, up to the "hard stop" time. For a winner and loser to be determined in this situation, a complete inning must be played with one team having scored more runs than the other. A home team taking a lead before making 3 outs counts as a complete inning.
If a complete inning is played, and the score is still tied, or if a full inning cannot be completed by the "hard stop" time, the game will end in a tie. For determining standings, ties are not counted in winning percentage, and W/W+L will be used.
Minors: If the home team is trailing by 6 or more in the bottom of the 6th, or past the “no inning may start” time, the home team cannot win, due to the 5 run rule. The home team may bat the bottom of that inning, if agreed to by both managers, and the umpires.
Minors, majors, and juniors will use a continuous batting order. Due to all players being in the batting order, the special pinch runner will not be allowed in intra-league games.
All other rules as defined by the 2012 Little League rulebook. Protests or ejections should be reported to League President Mike Risdal, Umpire-in-Chief Trent Becker, or the appropriate division Player Agent. All significant injuries should be reported to Safety Officer Tom Larson.
