Tuesday, August 9Fury Wins National Championship!!
At 10:45am on July 31st, the final whistle blew and the NSA Fury officially became National Champions. The final ended in a 2-0 decision against St. Louis Scott Gallagher, who earned their spot in the finals by winning two straight games after being defeated 6-0 by the Fury in the first day of preliminary games. After the victory, coach Rade Martinovic was doused by a bucket of water and, as promised, performed a dance with the girls. The Fury reached the finals by first winning against Gallagher on July 28th, then tying NASA 1-1 on the 29th, and beating Sockers 1-0 on the 30th. In addition to winning the US Youth Soccer Cup, the team won the Fair Play award, and teammates Jordan Ginther won the Golden Glove award, with Zoe Swift winning the Golden Ball award. Congratulations to all the girls -- as stated by your Nationals mantra: If you want something you've never had, you have to do something you've never done -- YOU DID IT!!

Fury Takes Disney and National League Crown
Attending the Disney Soccer Showcase at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, the Naperville Soccer Association Premier Fury was pitted against three National League teams. The Fury started strong with a 3-0 victory over United FA from Georgia before heading into their match against the Dallas Texans on the second day of the tournament. The winner of the game determined the champion of the US Youth Soccer National League red division. After a hard fought game, the teams were tied 1-1, until a late goal in the second half sealed it for the Fury. The team celebrated on the field and was immediately awarded the National League championship plaque, and honored as the first team to qualify for the US Youth Soccer National Championship next July in Arizona. After all the excitement, the team held onto their composure to round out the third day of preliminary play with a 3-0 win over the McLean Strikers from Virginia. On the final day of the Disney tournament, the girls were sore and tired, but showed their resiliency and stamina with a 4-0 finals win over the BC Force Buffalos from Colorado. Congratulations to all the Fury girls and coaching staff -- your hard work and dedication was rewarded.

Fury Takes MRL Championship - Gets Automatic Bid to Region II Championships
NSA Fury completed their Fall 2010 Midwest Regional League Premier Season with a 3-1 victory of Sockers FC Cup and an overall 8-0-1 record. With a total of 25 points out of a possible 27, the Fury won the MRL league and will receive an automatic bid to the USYSA Region II Championship in June, 2011. For the season, the Fury amassed a total of 24 goals while giving up only 3. The team began with a 0-0 tie versus Toro Bravo, and then proceeded to win eight straight games versus KCFC Heat (5-0), KC United Metros (5-1), Vardar (2-0), Scott Gallagher Green (1-0), Scott Gallagher Premier (3-1), Chicago Fire Juniors (1-0), FC Milwaukee (4-0) and Sockers (3-1).

Fury Places Third at National Championships
The NSA Fury went undefeated at the USYS National Championships and placed third in the nation. In the first game, the Fury played the National League champion NASA G12 Elite II to a 1-1 tie. The second game was a rematch of the Region 2 championship game, which also ended in a 1-1 tie. The final game was against the Colorado Rush team which won the Region 4 championship, and the Fury came out on top 3-1. With a 1-0-2 record, the Fury left Kansas City with bronze medals and are determined to return to the National Championships next year.

Fury Wins 2010 Region 2 Championship!
The Naperville Soccer Association (NSA) U16 Premier Fury has won the 2010 Region 2 Championships that took place in Beavercreek, Ohio from June 25 through June 30. The team played against the best the Midwest region had to offer, with victories over the state champions of Ohio North (7-1), Ohio South (5-1), Missouri (2-1), Wisconsin (5-0), and Minnesota (3-0). In route to their title, the Fury amassed a total of 22 goals by strong and quick midfield and forward execution, and allowed only 3 goals from a stringent defensive and keeper performance. Having already qualified for the National Championship by finishing second in the USYSA National League, the Fury made a statement by taking the Region in dominating fashion. The National Championship will take place July 21 through July 25 in Overland Park, Kansas.

Fury Places 2nd in National League - Qualifies for USYSA National Championship
With a record of 4-1-2, the NSA Fury finished in second place in the USYSA National League, giving them an automatic bid to the USYSA National Championships held in Overland Park, Kansas in July. Enroute to their second place finish, the Fury beat San Diego Surf-White, So. Cal. Blues-Pearson, KC Select Scream, and FC Pennsylvania Strikers. They tied NASA (National League Champions) and Dallas Texans, and lost to Scorpions. Before the National Championship, the Fury will play in Illinois State Cup, looking to capture their third straight state title, and the USYSA Region 2 Championships.

NSA Fury Takes MRL Crown
The NSA Fury finished the Fall 2009 MRL season with a 6-1 victory over Sockers FC. Their final record of 7-1-1 ensures no other team can overtake them on points, and so they are the Fall 2009 MRL champions. For ending in first place, they receive an automatic bid to the 2010 USYSA Regionals in Beavercreek, OH next June.

Fury Wins State Cup!
NSA Premier Fury captured their second straight State Cup championship on Sunday, June 14th with a hard fought victory over Eclipse Select 93/94. To reach the finals, NSA first needed to get through Windy City Pride 41, Strikers FV 94, and Chicago Fire Jr. Red 11. The victory has placed the Fury in the USYSA Region 2 tournament to be held in Sioux Falls, SD from June 20 - 24, 2009.
