Welcome to the home of the North Pittsburgh Wildcats Girls Hockey!
Girls’ ice hockey is the fastest growing segment of USA Hockey, and the North Pittsburgh Wildcats Girls program has been a big part of this growth since its inception in 2003. We currently field U14 and U19 Girls teams in PAHL, and a U12 team that plays scrimmages and tournaments in this age group.
NPYHA has supported USA Hockey’s Put the Biscuit in the Net (PBN) program since 2005, introducing over 150 girls to our sport. We also feature our Learn to Play for Girls program that allows girls to “try” ice hockey for a minimal investment. LTP for Girls is a girls-only program that gives girls the opportunity to learn the game in a fun, non-stressful environment.
Our travel teams have been getting progressively stronger over the years, featuring PAHL playoff qualifications each year since 2004. Our U19 Travel team placed 2nd in tournaments this season in Columbus, OH, and St. Catharines, Ontario.
We are always seeking new players to join our program. We especially need goaltenders for all of our travel teams. If you are new to the sport, or an experienced player looking for an active, competitive team to join, please contact Jim Napoli, Director of Girls Hockey Development at 412-400-8569 or jimnapoli@comcast.net.
