North Penn Squires Basketball
We offer four Recreational Divisions:
For ages 6 and 7, we hold 10 one-hour Saturday morning Instructional Basketball sessions starting in January. The kids learn all the fundamentals of the sport--dribbling, passing, and shooting will be taught as well as other basics of the sport. At this level, there are no games, only instruction. This prepares kids for the next level of competition.
Our Lower Division is for kids aged 8 and 9. Practice begins in December, then in January, one night per week is reserved for practice and games are introduced on one additional night or on Saturdays. Playoffs are held and a champion is crowned at the end of the season.
The Middle Division is for kids aged 10 through 12. This is a more competitive league with practices starting in December and an average of two games per week starting in late December and a double-elimination championship tournament at the end of the season.
The Upper Division is for kids aged 13 through 15 and consists primarily of competitive games played on Middle School courts. A double-elimination championship tournament is held at the end of the season.
Our Travel teams compete against other teams in the area, and are for more advanced players.
For more information on both Programs, call the Squires Phone Line at 215-362-5970.
