Goals of NOSO Cup:
The NOSO Cup has two main goals:
1. To promoted and develop community socccer in North Olmsted
2. To ensure a competitive and enjoyable tournament for all levels of youth soccer development.
We will use the funds that we raise to provide professional coaching to both our in-house and travel players, both for the outdoor Spring and Fall sessions, and the indoor winter session.

Attention Tournament Participants!!!
Ohio has instituted a new law affecting all tournament participants.
Return to Play Law 143
Ohio Law 143 or the Return-To-Play Law will go into effect on April 26,2013. Ohio Gov. John R. Kasich signed the state’s new youth concussion rules into law after passage by legislators. The law requires youth coaches, officials and referees to complete free, basic online training about concussions. All coaches (including assistants) and referees are required to take the online concussion course before participating in the tournament.

Our tournament sanctioning and Ohio Law require all tournament coaches to complete the training. All coaches will be required to present their certificates at registration.
The certification is comprised of a short course followed by a few questions and can be completed in less than 30 minutes. The link to the training is below.

Welcome to Northern Ohio which is the home to an exciting lineup of attractions including the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame, Cedar Point Amusement Park and the 36th NOSO Cup International Youth Soccer Tournament! The 2012 tournament was our largest ever with teams from across Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Texas and Canada all competing and we anticipate this year being even better. The July 4th weekend is the ideal time for all the family to share in the tournament fun. The Tournament is played over two days with each team guaranteed three games. We offer two divisions to accommodate all levels of competition. Many teams use the tournament as a link between seasons, a wrap up to the spring season, or in preparation for the fall season. Whatever your reason, you can be sure of a great welcome at one of the longest running American youth soccer tournaments!

Awards for finalists and champions – participation awards U8 and U9 Early registration and 5+ team discount
Cost: U8-10 $300; U11-12 $350; U13-19 $400
Application deadline: June 1st, 2013
The tournament is open to club, intra-club and inter-club teams according to US Youth Soccer Definition. Each team will be gauranteed 3 games. NOSO Cup offers two divisions to accomodate all levels of competition: Cup - Premier Clubs and first division travel teams Trophy - Travel teams and competitive recreation teams Some flexibility in division and age bracket alignment may be nessesary depending on number of teams.

The maximum number of guest players is 5. Winning teams in Cup and Trophy will receive awards, and individual awards will be given to finalists in Cup and Trophy except for U8/9 where participation awards will be given.
