Coach Swearengin elected to the LSCA Hall of Fame!

Congratulations to our very own Coach Greg Swearengin on his election to the LSCA Hall of Fame! The Louisiana Softball Coaches Association was founded in May, 1990 by a group of dedicated high school softball coaches who wanted to devise ways to promote the sport, aid the coaches, and honor the athletes who play our sport. And with the efforts of Coach Swearengin and many others the LSCA has done precisely what they set out to do. High School softball in Louisiana is one of the most highly regarded sports in the state.

And this year the Association has chosen to recognize the dedication and accomplishments of Coach Swearengin. Coach has been active in High School softball in Louisiana for over 20 years. In addition to his many years of coaching in programs that have become successful with him at the helm, he has served on the LSCA Executive Committee in many capacities including most recently, a 2 year term as President of the LSCA. Coach has forged many friendships throughout the state with many other high school coaches. He is highly regarded throughout the state by coaches and players alike.

"In 1992 the LSCA began the recognition of individuals that have demonstrated their dedication to the game of high school softball through their playing, coaching or in other ways that distinguish themselves as an outstanding supporter of high school softball." This is an excerpt from the LSCA Hall of Fame page. And this year the LSCA took a look at coach's outstanding record on the field and his dedication to the sport off the field and honored him by electing him to the LSCA Hall of Fame.

Congratulations Coach! This award is well deserved!

Summer Camps and Clinics

The camp staff for the summer is coming together, and will consist of the LSU Softball Staff, current & former LSU players, National Pro Fastpitch players, USA National Team players, Professional Clinicians, & College Coaches from all across the country. We take camp very seriously at LSU and believe it is an opportunity to grow softball in Louisiana and nationally knowing that this will directly affect the Game in the long run. By making camp a priority and involving some of the best minds out there we are confident Softball players walk away from camp with not only a fun experience, but with advanced knowledge that will make them better. Camp is also an opportunity to interact with Coaches from all different levels in positive learning environment. Registration is now open.

Check with questions and frequently asked questions. You can also contact Kara Dill @ for more info. Camps for the Summer include all levels of play & focus on the needs of every different type of player.
