Northwood LEAFS 2 vs. Petries Cycle & Sports SHARKS 2
To date this was the most exciting game to watch. Both teams had numerous chances and both goalies Dylan Parsons and Bonawbae Kanutski were outstanding. The Sharks got on the board first at 11:04 of the first period as Brock Tipple scored his second of the season. The shorthanded Leafs answered later in the same frame when Connor MacLeod scored his first at 6:24 with help from Jonathon Graba. The Leafs took the lead with 3:51 left in the second period on David Braunberger's first of the young campaign. Andrew Leschuk tied the game for the Sharks at 1:19 of the same period with his first of the season. The third period was scoreless despite the best efforts of the shooters on both teams. Cameron Coats stood out on defense for the Leafs turning back plenty of rushes by the Sharks. Hats off to the Leafs as they played first and second line shifts a man down all game, going to be some tired skaters tonight.
