Don't know if you remember me but I played from the 00-01 season ( i believe) until the 04-05 season. Seems like the hockey's still going on every weekend and everyone's still having fun with it. Northwood Hockey League brought me up to the player I am now, who plays for the Bantam AA North End Flames. Only 13 years old but i still remember the fun times like the floats, the selects teams and other moments like the thrills of the playoffs and other things as well.

Who says the NHL is on strike. The last few weeks the games have been awesome. Players are really working together and it is nice to see at the face offs friends talking between teams. This is what it is all about -- one focus to have fun and knowing winning isn't everything. Becky

Hello everybody. I hope everone is having a great time playing hockey. I hope all the kids have as much fun as i had playing the 6 years in the league. I am a former player.i played from 97-01 and help coach the albany international canucks to win the regular season and play-off championships. I played on moose lodge my first year, haquail on my second year, and albany for two years and the second year we won the championship aswell as the pee wee northwood knights. Some of my greatest/Achievements moments were winning the most valuble player trophy my first year and coaching with my father on albany International. Thanks to my coaches, volenteers and anyone that made it a great experience for me.

Congrats to everyone who worked on, and took part in, building the Christmas float!!! It looks good!! The Northwood Hockey spirit lives on - we have a league full of great parents, players and friends, its nice to see things like the float as a way of 'boasting' about it.
(ps: my favourite picture is of Lisa walking along side the trailer, with her santa hat and dark glasses...she looks like she belongs to Santa's Secret Service) *Just teasing Lisa!!*

I wanted to comment on how well this site is put together and how in depth it is. This is my son's first year in the league and I am very pleased on how the league works. It is fair for all player levels. When I logged on and seen my son's name on there for his first goal I thought that was pretty cool as did he! Being a first time assistant coach is fun but you also see how time and effort is put into the league. Keep up the good work and go Fort City Canadiens!!!!!!

I just want to make sure that no 'stories' being said about the fire alarm being set off at the Hallowe'en dance. It was not done on purpose. A number of factors contributed to it being pulled and no one should be blamed. In short, it was not a prank, but an accident. Speak with me at the rink if you need the details....
On another note -- I hope all the kids had a good time. THANK YOU TO ALL THE VOLUNTEERS WHICH INCLUDED: Lynn, Terry, Karen, Pam, Joanne, Mitch (music), Ron and Lou (for judging)Steve, Leona and Jayden and the man who helped out in the kitchen and bake table -- I'm sorry I never did get your name.... As well a big thanks to everyone who stayed to help clean the hall afterwards -- including the parents who stayed behind. An event like this could never be made possible if it wasn't for the volunteers -- so on behalf of the kids "Thank You!"
Sandy
