Northwood Hockey League: Welcome

The Northwood Hockey League features a recreational league for boys & girls aged 5 to 11. No body contact is allowed. Ice time is guaranteed equal. Brothers and sisters play on the same team. Goalie equipment is supplied. Our games are held Saturday and Sunday afternoons at the FW Gardens. We also have other fun events like our Annual Christmas Skating Party, Awards Banquet, and every player receives a trophy when he scores his or her first goal or shutout.

The Can-Op KINGS brought home the Northwood Championship with a 2-0 win over the Victoria Chiropractic SENATORS. Hunter Kuurila picked up the shutout with goals going to Justin Peltonen and BenClara.

The LTL Contracting FLYERS will see their name on the league's newest trophy for the second consecutive season. The Flyers shut out the Nesbitt-Burns Canadiens 3-0 to win the 2013 Best of the Rest crown. Jaydan Delaqua posted the shutout while Paige Fucile, Kyle Knapton and Erik Makela scored for the Flyers.

The Petries Cycle & Sports SHARKS captured the league consolation title Thursday night with a tight 2-1 win over the Investor's Group LEAFS. Joshua Matinez opened the scoring late in the first period for the Sharks and Noah Rochon added what proved to be the winner midway through the third. The Leafs made the game close as they pulled standout rookie goalie Michael Simkanin and got one back with just a minute to go. Emma Lebar scored with an assist going to Reece Napper.
