The Northwood Hockey League features a recreational league for boys & girls aged 5 to 11. No body contact is allowed. Ice time is guaranteed equal. Brothers and sisters play on the same team. Goalie equipment is supplied. Our games are held Saturday and Sunday afternoons at the FW Gardens. We also have other fun events like our Annual Christmas Skating Party, Awards Banquet, and every player receives a trophy when he scores his or her first goal or shutout.

Bingo Dates
I have received the upcoming bingo dates for the next few months and I am in desperate need of volunteers for the Northwood Hockey League Bingos. As you may be aware they run all year round, we are unable to pick and choose are dates, we are given usually 2 bingos per month. Northwood Hockey League has been able to keep the costs of registration fees down because these bingos covers most of the ice rental fees. Each bingo takes approximately 3 hours and times indicated is the times that I need you to be there, this is when we start selling our cards.
Please let me know if you able to come out and assist us along with the date available.
Thank you very much, looking forward to your responses.

Skate Sharpening
I know a lot of parents don't think about getting the kids skates sharpened. It is nearly impossible to skate for anyone to skate on dull blades. The kids don't really know what sharp blades feel like so they can't tell you until at least they've had a few years on the ice. Ask for help when dropping off the skates, tell them what kind of skater your child is and they can sharpen them accordingly. Don't wait for 10 minutes before game time.
With the help of Petrie's Cycle & Sports we have put together a card for 2 FREE sharpenings for every player. Your coach will give you an orange card with your name and team on the back. Get the skates sharpened at Petrie's, right around the corner from the Gardens at 125 Archibald St. and after the second sharpening is done the card will be entered in 2 draws for hockey sticks. One will be drawn at the Christmas Party and the second during Minor Hockey Week in the new year. A big thanks to Tom and the gang over at Petrie's.
