Team Websites and Albums

Each team has their own website (the link is on the left).  Within each site, you can see your own team's schedule, announcements from your team manager, as well as picture albums for your team.  Anyone can post pictures under "albums."  If you have pictures just of your team, use the album on your team page.  If you have pictures of league-wide interest, then you can use the album from the main page.

When posting pictures, PLEASE DO NOT USE CHILDREN'S LAST NAMES.  You may use a first name and last initial, if you'd like.  Of course, you can leave the pictures unlabeled if you prefer.

North Venice Alum In The News

Former NVLL'er Tyler Skaggs has earned a scholarship to Division one baseball power Cal State Fullerton.  Skaggs, who finished his North Venice career just two seasons ago as a member of the 15-16 year old all-star team, is now a senior at Santa Monica HS.

Update 6/10: The Angels selected Tyler Skaggs with the 40th pick of the first round.  Congratulations, Tyler!

A Banner Year for North Venice
9-10 all-star baseball

North Venice brought home banners in four out of eight divisions in softball and baseball in District 25.  Softball swept three age groups (9-10, 11-12 and 13-14), and 9-10 baseball won a highly competitive 12-team tournament.  Also, the 10-11 and 13-14 baseball teams made the final games of their brackets.

Pictures of 9-10 baseball have been posted under "albums."  If you have pictures from any of the softball teams, please post them as well.  It's easy!  Sectional tournaments are underway, and all of the teams are hoping to keep playing as long as possible.

North Venice Does Well at Dodger Stadium
PHR at Dodger Stadium

North Venice was well-represented at Dodger Stadium for the MLB team competition of Pitch, Hit and Run.  After winning three of the four age groups at the sectional level, NVLL'ers all had scores high enough to advance to the team competition.  Competing against kids from as far away as Henderson, Nevada, all three players posted their highest total score ever, when it mattered most.

Nolan S. won the 13-14 year old division, Kevin N. took second place in the 11-12 year old division, and Kyle B. won the 9-10 year old division.  Nationwide, over 600,000 kids competed in Pitch, Hit and Run, with only 120 earning the right to compete at major league parks.

Congratulations, Nolan, Kevin, and Kyle!
