NORTH SHORE KNIGHTS
The North Shore Knights are USA Hockey Registered Teams established to provide players, who wish to improve their individual and team skills, an opportunity to do so. The North Shore Knights are expected to give their first priorities to their city/town teams or as determined by either game versus practice situations.
TRYOUTS
Knights teams are open to all boys and girls that are USA Hockey eligible Mite, Squirt, PeeWee, Bantam, and Midget/High School players. Although some of our players are on select and metro teams, Knights players are selected based upon their desire to work hard and improve and not just ability or skills.
TEAM PLACEMENTS
Individual players are placed on teams with players of similar abilities and these teams practice and play against other teams with players of approximately the same skill levels. As best we can, players of the same age and abilities that desire to be on teams with friends or players from the same cities or towns are kept together.
ICE TIME
Each individual will receive approximately 25-30 hours of ice time, which includes mostly skills development sessions and some games. Our objective is to have at least 1.5 to 2 hours of practice for each game. Area rinks include Merrimack College and Brooks in North Andover, MA, Burbank Arena, Reading MA, Graf Rink, Newburyport, MA and Assabett Valley, Concord, MA
PRACTICES
Most practices will consist of full ice warm-ups and stretch, individual and team skills development as well as conditioning.
GAMES
Games consist of USA Hockey rules and officials with equal ice time given to all players. The exception to this would be last minutes in a tournament game however the time would be made up in the next regular game.
ALUMNI
Many current and past North Shore Hockey participants are currently skating with various levels of select, metro, as well as high school, college, and professional organizations.
STAFF
North Shore Hockey coaches and on-ice instructors come from the various cities, towns, and organizations that participate in our programs and are USA Hockey certified and registered. In addition, our staff also has a number of years experience working with all age groups and levels of play including youth, high school, college, and professional.

The North Shore Hockey Player and Team Development Programs are opened to all individual boys and girls and teams from all ages and skill levels.
As it is our belief that participation in local sports programs is important and should be encouraged, our skills development programs are provided as both an enhancement and as a supplement to your existing city/town program
North Shore Hockey was established in 1989 as an organization dedicated to the development of hockey players as both individuals and team members. Our programs emphasize the benefits of hard work, a positive attitude, and enthusiasm towards the game of hockey. We offer creative play in a structured, learning environment and our players are encouraged and expected to develop their academic and social skills as well as their physical skills. Our staff includes USA Hockey coaches and instructors experienced at various levels of individual and team development from youth hockey to professional.
